When boutte said he was coming back it was almost unanimous that Daniels was coming back. If he was worried about Daniels then he would have waited to declare either way. I think the most obvious land logical explanation based on timing is that he got in trouble and said f it.
Almost unanimously the talking heads from on3, culotta etc have stated that Daniels has zero to do with this.
If he had declared right after Daniels said he was coming back, then you may have a point. But it was right after being suspended for the bowl game.

50 quarters = 12.5 games
12.5 + .75 = 13.25
which is more games than LSU even played this year.
also Nuss played 3 quarters just against Southern.
plus almost the entire half against New Mexico.
plus an entire half against UGA.
plus the whole 4th quarter against Auburn.
plus most of a quarter against UAB.
which puts Nuss at a minimum of about 8 quarters (or two full games).

He changed his mind as a result of the suspension and disagreements with Kelly.

2020 there was no spring, Pac-12 cancelled everything in the fall (meaning no real fall camp) only to un-cancel it, have an abbreviated "camp", then played a shortened season that lasted just over a month.

Jenkins had 130 yards, Bech had 270, Nabors had 100, BTJ had 200, Palmer had 140. If you double all their stats, Boutte at 1000, Bech at 540, BTJ at 400, Palmer at 290, Jenkins at 260, Nabors at 100. That would have been 12 games.
LSU did not force feed the ball this year. Many guys caught passes all with the opportunity to do something. This offense isn't a one man show. Boutte missed 2 stat padding games and dropped multiple TD passes. This is all on him, not anybody else.
