He’s not JB but he will stay in pocket and throw the ball

The narratives have been set regardless of video evidence and they’re going to be pushed until the season falls apart. Happens all the time here.

He made a couple of big runs to open the game and I said then that I hoped he didn't fall into a pattern where he thought he could make big plays with his feet on every play instead of throwing it. He certainly played as though that was his strategy. At least for 3-plus quarters anyway.
He WAS making big plays running the ball.
As I was screaming at my TV, if that's the kind of player he wants to be, make him a running back and get a quarterback in there that knows how to play the position.

Which is probably the prudent thing to do given how poor the pass protection was. If he stays in the pocket any longer he is taking sacks
I noted during the game that you could see receivers open or coming open from the end zone camera view.
If he understood the route trees, or how to throw a receiver open, then he had time to make the throws.

A lot of people who don’t really know football have said he’s one read and run. That’s absolute horse shite in every way it can be.
Ok mr. horseshite. He didn't "one read and run"?

That’s exactly the issue. It’s awesome that he did what he did running, but things will get one dimensional and hence predictable real quick like that. He’s gotta break out of that comfort zone even though it’s functional at present because at least 3-4 SEC teams will shut that shite down.

So far I’d say it was a toss up between him and Etling, but both of them are way better than Mett, who almost personally lost three games for us:
1. Failed to muster the winning drive against Georgia in an offensive game. Was four and out against a prevent defense.
2. Had a horrific game against a poor Ole Miss team missing six starters on defense. Mett, and to a lesser extent OBJ, gave the game away.
3. Failed to convert 3rd and 1 against Clemson when Miles made the excellent call to play action and throw to the flat. It worked like a charm, with the receiver WIDE open in the flat. Mett, under no pressure, threw it into the turf. A decent pass puts the game away. Mett choked; we lost.

Daniels is the best QB we’ve had since Mett.
