Soooooo you’re telling me you didn’t watch burrow transform from an average QB to the greatest thing we have ever seen?

I think Daniels' transition was different than Burrow's. You could see Burrow had it his junior year. Daniel's held the ball and wouldn't throw it downfield his first year at LSU. He went from that, to leading the nation in 20+ yd TDs the next year, which is amazing.

Late in the year

People forget but there were a few early games where Burrow looked to have the pocket awareness of Jordan Jefferson

People keep saying and I have no idea why. It's some weird arse revisionist history, especially considering Daniels's 2022 was better than Burrow's 2018.

This board was laughing and shitting all over Joe when he said during SEC Media Days leading into 2019 that we would have the best offense in the country.

Yep, you could see him progress and get better as the year went on.

...and you didn't see that with Jayden in 2022?

If so, you weren't watching.

He's the reason we beat Bama.

He currently has more rush attempts than completions. He looks good running, it’s just not going to be sustainable

You have to remember where LSU was coming from at the QB position at that time. Early in the first game against Miami Burrow called an audible to a run play to Nick Brosette that went for a long TD. That was like a revelation.

Do you not recall what the QB situation was for two years between Burrow and Daniels?

Not saying Nuss is bad, but half this board wanting to sit him last year early in the season was crazy.

This trope is so stupid. JD didn’t become JD until he started doing what everyone criticized him for not doing. As soon as he started letting it rip like all of his detractors wanted he became the best QB in the country. This proved those people right, not wrong. The amount of people on here that have zero ability to think past the surface level on this topic is astounding.

Yep, he hasnt given them a reason to respect his passing game at all. Makes it much easier to blitz.

I expect him to improve, but not a great debut.

He will feel right at home this year with this team.

No defense to speak of.

It’s also amazing how lsu’s going to waste it with Nuss.

Very similar patterns with Burrow and Daniels, but too stupid to detect as usual.

that describes my journey wrt Daniels commentary.

And it was immediately obvious once he started putting the ball in tight places.

Dude had 2 wins at LSU worth a shite. Alabama first year and Missouri second.

This reads like you are saying Nuss is going to be wasted like LSU wasted Daniels and... Burrow?
