All our qb's could use another second or two to let our receivers run routes further than 5 yds. Teams complete long passes because the oline gives the qb and receiver time to complete a pattern, Oline needs to play much better for our passing game to show any real progress.

There have been MANY occasions of Daniels having ample time and not pulling the trigger. He's had clean pockets with open receivers more than he has not. He's gun shy.

Doubt it gets better against the remaining SEC teams. Best hope for the offense is that he goes down with an injury and Ness can actually produce a passing game. Otherwise, LSU may not get the additional SEC win to go 6 - 6 and be bowl eligible.
If the passing game shites the bed in the 1st 2-3 series this weekend and we are losing and not moving the ball, he needs to sit for at least a couple of series.

I know, let JD call the receivers on the phone and then tell them where to stand when they throw the ball, then if the receiver isn't clear, call the next one.

That's all you need to know. He can't throw downfield because of his lack of understanding coverage, confidence, ability, anticipation, etc.
They all combine to make downfield throws possible or accurate.
Qbs who think they can scramble their way thru the real SEC, are simply dumb.

Exactly - we could be down 28 - 0 with 10 passing yards and Daniels would still be on the field dumping shite everywhere.

He can’t so why argue it. We’ve seen just how bad he is too.

It’s time for everyone to face it, we do not have a good QB option this year. Daniels can’t pass and Nuss isn’t any better but can’t even run so that is where we are.

Because Nuss isn’t any better.

He has really looked bad against FSU, MSU, and Auburn

That’s not at all an accurate statement. Daniels put them in scoring position on 5 of 7 offensive drives against FSU. The first two scoring opportunities were undone by a bad snap and by Boutte not looking for the ball at the goal line. The offense was efficient against FSU and Daniels even more so.

He did play poorly for the first 28 minutes against MSU, but then led them to 31 points in the last 32 minutes scoring on 5 of 7 possessions. Overall, he had a decent game.

Auburn is the only game he played poorly overall. Even there, he was starting to move the team before his injury, but it was definitely a bad game. The worry is that other teams will copy what Auburn did and Daniels is too limited to adjust. Still it’s revisionist history to go back and claim Daniels has played poorly all along. He did what he does do well and the offense was successful prior to Auburn.

It's really bad when you look at LSU's skill position depth. Unacceptable for the talent they have at WR.

Are the QBs and WRs really that bad or is our OC, DumbRock, an idiot and an example of total nepotism by the $100 M coach?

Probably correct that NOTHING is changing at mid-season and the RBs are barely SEC average, if not below average, let alone dominating like our RBs of the past 2 decades.

I know it’s obvious by watching, but the stats bear out that he needs some quicker decision making and needs to be more okay taking risks.

It's obvious he has 2 true freshman at both tackle positions. The OL interior has been soft. I'd rather not see him force throws - too many turnovers that way. I'm content with what weve seen and confident it will get better and not worse.

Howard is though. They need to scrap the redshirt idea and let this year be his training camp.
Something has to be done or we will limp thru this season and next preseason will be the exact same shite. 2 qbs that we know won't work and a sophomore with no experience. What a fricking nightmare.

It's time for Howard and let the others prove they have a better ceiling. .

How fricking stupid are you?

He was 25/34, 209 yds with a QBR of 86.2 and had 114 yds rushing! He led a 99 yd last minute drive for a td as time expired that should have tied the game.

Tell me moron, how the frick did he look bad?
