Some things he does well: 5th in completion percentage, obviously tied for 1st in least interceptions (only 3 other QBs have 0), 6th in passing TDs, 1st in rushing yards by a QB

Mediocre in QBR (8th) and total passing yards (10th)

But despite his quick feet, he’s been the second most sacked QB in the conference and ranks dead LAST in yards per attempt. I know it’s obvious by watching, but the stats bear out that he needs some quicker decision making and needs to be more okay taking risks. Doing the other things pretty well so far (statistically speaking)

The YPA is so bad. Explosive plays win in college football and we have the least in all of FBS likely.

All our qb's could use another second or two to let our receivers run routes further than 5 yds. Teams complete long passes because the oline gives the qb and receiver time to complete a pattern, Oline needs to play much better for our passing game to show any real progress.

Yea, this bodes well. He is athletic, and his fault is erring on not taking turnover risks. His "improvement" will be toward increasing a positive, not decreasing a negative. I'm good with it.

Not many chances for interceptions when you run and throw behind line of scrimmage.

He is just an abysmal passer. End of story. At least Vandy's QB has same amount of touchdowns. He has really looked bad against FSU, MSU, and Auburn. Gathered all his stats vs Southern and New Mexico.

His completion percentage is deceptive. It’s like Shaq leading the NBA in shooting percentage because the only shots he takes are slam dunks.

Like the truth. Not many completions down field genius. Even the head coach said these exact words this week and the QB is talking about needing to be more aggressive. Take your blinders off and see what anyone with a brain sees.

This would be a more apt comparison if you used free throw instead of slam dunk.

Nope, slam dunks is the correct comparison. Shaq was not a good free throw shooter, btw.

I just meant that a free throw is an uncontested shot, and that's all Daniels throws.

He's run into a number of sacks though. Stats wont capture that aspect. I can recall of at least 3 on Saturday at Aub where he went to run ran into the d-line for sacks

He is not going to start processing things more quickly. Will not happen if it hasn’t happened already.

FTs are not part of shooting percentage

Ok, you're taking that a little too literally.
