Another Vernon Gholston

Uhhhh...he was pretty fricking good in college. I'd take that.

ETA: During the 2007 season Gholston recorded 37 tackles (15.5 for a loss) and set a school record with 14.5 sacks in 13 games, breaking the former record of 13 sacks in a single season set in 1995 by Mike Vrabel.[1] He was named All-America by Pro Football Weekly and was First-team All-Big Ten.

Hunter highlights

Just went and watched a couple of his highlights from HS. Play at 1:02 is all you need to watch. Takes on two blockers, sheds them, a third blocker gets on him, Hunter tells him to GTFO, makes tackle for loss. Like a boss.

I remember rivals listing him at 6'5" 235 with a 4.6 40. Sounds like a mingo clone.

If LSU has another good dline after losing 6 this year someone needs to give Haley a raise.

No, he could be seen flying down the field on kick ofg coverage. Guys dont rs anymore if they are physically ready. Coaches made that mistake with brockers.

Brockers wasnt physically ready to play his freshman year. It wasnt really a mistake to RS him. You think we really missed some Brockers mop up duty in his freshman season?

He's gonna be much bigger than Mingo by the time he is eligible for the draft. I think he is built more like Sonic Sam.

We lost our top 3 DE's and our top DT to the draft. There is still plenty of talent but the big concern is lack of experience. Look at our DB's last season. They were very good players but lack of awareness burned us on many occasions.

More to learn and react in the secondary. DL that is physically ready can be more effective sooner.

that play at the 1:20 mark . He runs down the running back from across the field.

DT is one of the hardest positions to adjust to at the next level. There is a reason why teams like to target top JUCO DT's over other positions.

It's 90% recruiting and culture and 10% position coaching.
