He hasn't come close to reaching his prime. What a beast.

Good spend for Minnesota. He was so raw and young and improves every year. Have to assume that trajectory will continue.

What LSU did with Hunter pisses me off to this day. He should have been a 10+ sack guy just on raw ability alone. Such a waste.

That said, this is awesome for him.

Chavis and Haley were an embarrassment... NFL coach was shocked that he didnt learn basic technique. Hunter had to sit down and explain film to coaches and what he was told to do...

Their idea of technique for him was have him fake a rush then stand up on the edge.

Imagine what he could’ve done under Aranda as DC with Orgeron coaching him up at Buck, Chavis and Brick literally used him for containment his entire career in their crappy vanilla scheme. Such a waste of a huge talent, he probably would’ve gone in the top 10 overall if he would’ve played for the current staff

Aren't Bama fans always bragging about their players being the highest paid? With Landry, Hunter, and OBJ incoming extension we're bound to pass em up

But he has definitely earned this contract. I can't wait to see how good he becomes.

To be fair, that Minn coach said the same exact thing when Tashawn Bower made the 53 man roster last year after going undrafted...

unfortunate that some still blame him for his lack of sack numbers here. He never lacked hustle as evidenced by his run support. Just a victim of Chavis' style of D and under coached by Brick.

Just imagine the havoc he would’ve caused with O or Jenkins as his defensive line coach teaching him technique and leverage instead of brick who just made him bull rush.

The only reason Bama players are the highest paid, because their first contract they get drafted higher because they are from Bama. It’s not even a comparison between Bama and LSU when it comes to their second contract. That’s when all the LSU players get paid ,and the Bama players Start working there self out of the league or become role players
