He's such a douchebag that I bet he posts blind links on message boards.
Or such a douchebag that he post on a message board 12 times/day for the past 20 years. Which is worse?

He picked LSU to win. Some of you guys need to quit being so sensitive.
And learn how to read context clues. He was clearly talking about Trinidad's mindset, not actual facts.

I think you’re borderline retarded

Also true. He probably would have noticed that had he not been so busy looking for a reason to be offended.

Um, wouldn't you have the same mindset if you were Trinidad Chambliss? Why are you upset about this?

Doubtful. Chambliss was leaving Ole Miss until they gave him a shite load of money.

Orlovsky was not talking about Trinidad's mindset. He was talking about his own mindset if he was Trinidad. From this statement and his other comments, it appears that Orlovsky wants Kiffin to be humiliated, to be a "laughingstock," etc. Orlovsky wants a metaphorical ritual sacrifice. It seems that many in the media want Kiffin figuratively burnt at the stake.
It seems personal. That's a little inappropriate.
I would direct you to the wisdom of one of the greats:
quote:
You know what? It’s not a hammer and a nail relationship. It’s an opportunity for an opponent to be equal, and to raise their level of play in such a fashion that they win. And that’s how this thing works, that in fact you respect the opponent, and he’s not the hammer, and he’s not the frickin' nail, okay? He’s the opponent. You understand? I’m just letting you know, I resent that.

Well, if we’re playing the speaking “figuratively” game, Kiffin will want to break Chambliss’s legs

An Ole Miss fan didn't say it. Dan Orlovsky said it. Dan Orlovsky didn't go to Ole Miss. He went to UConn.
So he needs to be an ole Miss fan to state the obvious?

I question whether it's not personal and emotional for Orlovsky.

I’m confused why this is controversial. If I’m Trinidad, I’d want to beat him, too. He better have that mindset because there’s a team across from him that will absolutely be trying to bury his arse on every play. He can appreciate his old ball coach before the game and after the game. But during… it’s war. He better get his mind right

I took this is him saying how he would use this situation to motivate himself. Which makes perfect sense.

Ole Les seemed to just love the competition, didn't he.
Appreciate your insights and abilty to have a convo with casting to many aspersions, Sal.

Wtf? Dan Orlovsky said it, not Trinidad Chambliss?

Dan Orlovsky is my favorite analyst. Don't take that comment the wrong way. It's true. If YOU were Chambliss, what would your mindset be?

Not the same at all. Saban left LSU for the NFL.
