People on here were so critical of him after the UCLA game. He’s arguably one of the better LBs that has played at LSU the past few seasons.

He’s going to have a damn good pro career

And he deserves more respect than he’s gotten

A DAMN GOOD 18!

Those are fairly comparable Devin White through a full 13 games in 2017-2018, and better then Patrick Queen in 15 games in 2019.

I had a big post written with the actual stats but accidentally fat-fingered the back button.

He has improved greatly from the beginning of the season in regards to being out of position. The first few games he was missing lots of assignments, not covering gaps, and taking bad angles. He seemed to come in late on a lot of plays he should have been on top of. I’m really happy for the guy, he turned it around for sure.

he had a bad game. He seemed out of position early on. Has taken a lot of strides since.

He looks like a completely different guy from the one that played last season. Big time respect to the dude for improving to the level he’s at now.

I’ll have to disagree. But he is certainly the most improved player on this defense.

He has played here the past three seasons. This is his first truly good year. I dont see the point of your post.

Edit: To further allude to this point, we had the same LB core last year and it was so bad that we wont talk about it. Coaching, scheme, players… it doesnt matter.

Looks like a completely different player since coach Zer0 finally let Daronte Jones call the defense…

Him and Baskerville are both Damn Good ! Maybe they were out of position at first for reasons beyond their control. It doesn't seem like the "off season" was much success with the new coaches coming in, switching schemes etc., I don't know because I wasn't there. This is why I can't stand when people on this board that either never played sports or are just plain Dicks, can piss piss on players that are busting their asses. These are
Kids ! And sometimes playing through injuries, not use to a certain position,so many variables...who knows ?There are just so many reasons for the way players play that might give off an impression that is just not what you think ! So many people were downing both of these guys. In 2019 alot of people wanted Aranda's head because the defense was not up to par, and alot of that was due to injuries. Luckily they got healthy towards the end of the year and we kicked arse.
But before you say anything bad about a player DON'T !

Hoping he comes back next year and captains that defense into the new era.

Very proud of Clark and Baskerville. Both have been absolute studs lately.

2020 didn’t count against anyone’s eligibility. He could come back.

Imagine if Diamond Dave coached him the last 2 years… he might not be here THIS season. That’s why scheme matters. Changing DCs and base defense 2 years in a row MATTERS! One should always reflect on the problem before pursuing action. Perhaps some rushed fo judgement and didn’t take time to reflect upon the problem.

If Aranda had been here the past 2 years, we would be mentioning Clark in the same breath as Devin. Under a good coach in the NFL, he’s going to be a really good player.
