Caden will be the fastest RB we’ve ever had.

Trindon Holliday got something to say about that.

But Durham won't be tackled as easily. Holliday might be a little faster, but would go down with little contact. Other than Holliday, can't remember a faster running back at LSU. He got 1841 yds and average 10 yards per carry in the highest classification in Texas. He is the one recruit iam excited to see.

That is such an unbelievable high school 4x100. No way that wasn’t incredibly close to a high school record.

ETA: apparently the record is from a Texas high school named Wyatt, running a 39.7 in high school in 1998 lmao holy shite. Duncanville ran a 39.9 last year so we’ll see.

For comparison Barbe HS won the 4 x 100 relay in 2002 with a 40.78 which remains the record for Class 5A. I do not think another Louisiana team has run a sub 41 since. Former LSU running back Justin Vincent was a relay team member.
The time of 40.78 was recognized as 2nd in the nation but it did not last too long. The Texas Relays (their state meet) were held the next week and a few teams ran a little faster.

1969!!!

Here’s how fast: At the state meet in 1969, the Dallas Lincoln quartet of John Delley, Joe Pouncy, Rufus Shaw and Gene Pouncy set a national record of 40.7 seconds in the 440-yard relay. Imagine the track surface back then and the track shoes they wore. The Pouncy twins both ran 9.2 100 yard dash times in high school in 1969-70

Damn, Moore on that second leg! Wow - would like to see that split time.

I can't find the splits, but I'm sure they're out there somewhere.
