Alternatively, "they (ms st) didn't almost beat us, we (LSU) almost beat ourselves".

Dak is an idiot here; clearly we were stopping him more than they were stopping themselves.

LSU shut them down in the 1st half, period.

I disagree. MSU has a backup quarterback named Elijah Staley who is going to be good. 6'6, 240, and likes to run. I believe there is no SECW cupcake, rent-a-win for the foreseeable future.

Sour grapes; Dak is just upset because he knows what happened last year was a one year thing- back to being mediocre this year and beyond for State...

What is he supposed to say? Honestly, this is the attitude you want your QB to have after a bad half: we made mistakes and stopped ourselves, but if we tighten up, we can correct those problems and do better in the second half. It puts the onus on himself, and not the other team.

Do people just look around for things to be upset about?

Pretty easy..

They were better than us and we have to do better.. we will be better.

Or if that is too much to give credit..

then just say

"We will be better"

After looking at this again, LSU in the 2nd half was limiting Dak from running, shutting down the long pass, and forcing Dak to throw short passes.

- limited Dak running back staying disciple in the trenches with a aggressive but controlled rush by the front four.

- shut down the long ball and forced short passes by the aggressive DL rush with the blitzes needed to force the short pass, limiting Miss St. big play opportunity by covering the deep pass. I think Miss St passing game was average 7 yards a throw. Dak threw 51 times.

Regardless, it almost bit LSU in the arse. Dak was able to find the open receiver in the short-field with some really nice passes under pressure. Hats off to him.

Sounds scary, like Jerimiah Johnson did three weeks ago.

Critical mistake.

Agree.

LSU freezing the kid was a nice call.

LSU did a lot of "stopping ourselves" with those 1/2 penalties as well.

Yeah right. Boy was playing the 1st half from his arse. Should have been 28-3 at half

Exactly how did Miles prevent 21 LSU points in 1st half? Really?

You guys are unbelievable. This is "team speak". Do y'all think he going to give a rational explanation for the first half offense.

They did improve in the 2nd half and the Tiger D was getting tired. He is saying the things he should because they have 10 games left and still have a shot at doing well and maybe they can pull an upset or two and help out the Tigers.

Don't be so myopic because all of us are LSU fans. The other teams LSU plays actually would like to win their games as well and put a great deal of effort in that endeavor. Did any of you hear from a Tiger player last year addressing the media that said after the State game that State was clearly the better team and we were lucky to have a shot at the end?

And your defense wasn't stopping LSU as much as the LSU HC stopping LSU ... What the heck is a DAK anyway ??

Gassed defense. Coaches should've have opened up a little. And if anyone beat themselves it's Lsu in first half. 28-0 should've been score
