So we don't have the personnel to be better on offense then we are now? He's had all season to "get it right"

Even with a blowout of Rice, say 42-7, and 500 plus yards of total offense, I doubt LSU total offense ranking moves down lower than the low to mid 90's.

Bottom line.... That still sucks.

If we win out that makes us 10-2. You don't replace a soul with that kind of record, especially in the SEC.

Then he needs to be volunteered to step down. We have too much talent, even with our bad offensive line, to be as bad as we are on Offense. I like Ensminger as a person and a tiger, but he's a bad OC.

If CSE isn't replace, it shows that CEO is a failure as a head coach, regardless of the record. Loyalty and ego should never trump the progress of a program (especially when improving the offense is one of the stipulations upon CEO's hiring).

Fired Lane Kiffin basically and they were undefeated.

OU fired their DC just this year

Because he had a physical confrontation with a player and that player left the field. Someone found him out in the parking lot.

Coach O appears to be comfortable with Steve and has described his job performance is great or incredible. LSU is currently a top 10 team nationally. I don’t see how any of those things would lead to the opinion that we are going to change OCs.

I don’t see your change taking place. Coach O would have to admit publicly that he’s failed on two OC hires in two years.

I don't think anyone with a brain actually believe that it is absolutely going to happen but they do know that it SHOULD happen. A top ten ranking doesn't mean that the OC position shouldn't be looked at.

Also it would be very foolish for coach O to publicly say anything negative about Steve and what he is doing during the season. All of that should be happening behind closed doors.

Yes, LSU is essentially going to be held back because of Orgeron's pride.

Maybe E&O can get the offense into the upper 90s next season.

What are you smoking? Did you watch the same game I did, because the LSU offense made the arky D look stout. The offense is awful as it has been for YEARS. This is not personal, but Steve Ensminger is NOT a competent OC at this level. He just isn't. He has scored 0 points on the gumps. How can that in any form or fashion be considered success?

You people amaze me...

Yep better teams have never done this. So yes if you don’t aspire to be better then make no changes at your glaring weakness

There is simply no way to know this any more than the others who proclaim E is definitely done this year. CEO has said nothing definitively on the matter to this point (as he shouldn't).

Let's just wait and see before starting useless threads.

If you're pursuing championships you replace anybody and everybody if it helps you win championships. Period.

Let that sink in. IF there's a DC better than Dave . . .

Thanks for bringing this up because I was going to. He fired Kiffin before the NC and replaced him with Sark. They went on to lose the NC. This was a mistake for Saban.

So, I did some research. And you guys are right. I can not find any examples where a coordinator was replaced after a 2 loss season.

We did after 2010. OU did, but there may have been other circumstances. It just doesn't happen much. Holgorsen brought in some help on offense after the 2016 season. He did not have an OC and brought one in after a 10-3 season.

But there are just not many examples out there. If anyone can find any, bring it forward. But it just doesn't happen much.
