Bizarre to me is that in the mid to late 80’s and early 90’s before the number of regular season games were capped, the Shockers played a ridiculous number of games, like about ninety. But unlike the California teams that were doing it too, Wichita Kansas is freezing in January. I don’t know if they just hopped on a plane to Los Angles every weekend in the early part of the season or if they were playing home games in the frost to start the year or if they played two midweek games every week for four months. It’s natural to think that more games gives more data points for use in Omaha
