Say what you will about whether Skip's level is realistically attainable with the changes to the game in recent years, but the face is, many fans are starting to accept the level of the program under Smoke. He was fired for his performance. PM's 1 big year, SEC titles and better reg season performance are the only things that really separate them. The fact is, many of our fans now accept a level that would not have been tolerated a few years ago.
Smoke sucked as a coach, the team went from winning it all in 2000 to missing the post season for the first time in like 18 years. CPM has been a top 8 seed 4 straight years and made it to Omaha twice. His seat isn't hot, and he is far from being in the position Smoke was when he left.

Should've been pulled while the score was 2-1. It's literally not debatable
He should have been pulled at 4-1, IMO.

Just stopped in to say, what a pathetic performance.
Why is it that LSU can be regular season champs but forgot how to play in the CWS for the last decade (outside of 2009 of course)?

Anyone EXPECTING a CWS title in this day and age is just stupid. It's fricking hard to do and will always be hard to do.

Home run! Here comes the rally!

The thing I hate most about CPM is he'll regularly throw his players by name under the bus but you'll never hear him admit to his coaching frick ups in a game.

And the rally begins.

maybe that will light a first under this team. We aren't winning this game, but if we get confidence back in our bats, look out.

The complaints about pitching (Lange vs Poche), leaving Poche in too long etc. needs to stop because it wouldnt matter at this point.
If anyone thinks 1 or 2 runs wins many / any games in this CWS you are nuts. If they cant hit any better than they have in the last 5-6 games they were gonna be 2 and thru regardless of who pitches.

Lsu 1-9 in cws since 2003 other than the title year.
Statistics across coaches while ignoring a year are always extremely meaningful.
