While I agree with every criticism of the Tennessee Trashunteers, our guys consistently flirt with that level of trashiness and we really haven’t done shite in quite a while
Please tell me how LSU comes close to anything Tennessee does? We have a couple pitchers who like to stare down batter from time to time, and I don't care for that, either. But that's really it.

Wait - the guy who commented on the article is NeylanTheGreat?

UT baseball played like a trashy slowpitch team that had too many beers

I enjoy seeing college kids having fun playing the game (it shouldnt be boring a$$-MLB) but in a respectful way. Tennessee enjoyed the fun when they were ridin high. It hit outta hand with the “birds” and arguing with plate umpires. Now they can deal with the criticism. “What goes around, comes around”.

Good article.
Surely the Tennessee AD will call Vitello on the carpet and tell him to dial the shite way back and start acting like an adult. I would be embarrassed. The program takes on its personality from the top down, and Tennessee's baseball players are a bunch of fricking assholes.

Yes. Dave Van Horn the mentor of Tony Vitello.

For me, it's more about the leadership.

No offense, but i dont think you paid much attention to either team this year if you think that. Tennessee had coaches bumping umps, players cussing umps out, players flipping the bird at others, and a coach throwing a bat across the field. Lsu had players celebrating homers.

He worked for DVH for a few years, but if anyone was a mentor it was Tim Jamieson.

I forgot about CTV throwing the bat in the KY series.

Not talking about this year specifically, just overall, our guys are usually pretty cocky, hot doggish, and a lot of times just downright bush league.

A few years was more than enough to learn from the worst bush league coach in the history of the SEC. However, just for grins and giggles I’ll let you read an article in which he said Van Horn was his mentor.
“Coach Van Horn is a mentor for me, and he’s also a gracious winner, and he just wanted to say good job, and I didn’t want to chat,” Tony Vitello said.

I've never seen Van Horn act like Vitello.
