You are looking forward to conference play because you want the coach and team to fail we simply hope things go better this year, we are not the same. And for the record you won’t find anybody on here who confidently says coach finally has it figured out and this team will for sure play well in conference. We just realize he is the coach so we might as well support him until he either breaks through or is fired at the end of the year. Posters like you would rather be right than see the team have success

I think on message boards like this - this has become very common - being right becomes more important than our teams that we supposedly love and support doing well.

It is the very nature of boards such as this one. We all want to be right. It's basic human nature.

I have had concerns about CMM since year one, and I still have them right now as I type this. But I want him to win and I want him to prove my concerns unfounded and I LONG to come on here and eat crow and say I was wrong.

Realistically. If LSU plays like they did vs Prairie View they won't win another game.
I mean PV couldn't miss in the 1st half, 75% on 3's. LSU didn't panic, and worked it up to a comfortable win.

You're leaving out the fact that the refs had all of their starters in foul trouble and threw out their PG on a technical.

can we agree that CMM is/was complicit in that?

no. we can agree that he needs to fundraise maybe to win, but we don't know how much was available to him relative to other schools.

you might say "will wade tell everyone to frick themselves and self fundraises and even pays out of his own pocket"

and that's true, wade is the best coach in the country, that's why I wear a NC state hoodie to every home game now at the PMAC, to protest his firing.

but I can fairly easily imagine where circumstances mostly out of McMahon's control led to them being underfunded.

Really have to sweep the lower half teams and then pick up one or two over teams we shouldn’t beat then can make the tourney

The delusional McMahon hater. It’s the referees fault LSU won the game . The stupidity ever fails to amaze me. Never mind the #354 team in 3 point shots shoots 77%from 3 in first half which anyone who knows anything about PV wasn’t going to last and it was McMahon pushing his players to take it too the hole which caused the fouls but the McMahon haters would rather blame the refs. There’s your fairytale.

I was referencing how the defense allowed Prairie View to drive the lane at will, coupled with the uncontested 3s.

Wait a minute, are you suggesting that being wide open has something to do with shooting %? That can’t be right, the mcmen told me it’s just magical luck.

in what world is NC State having a “great” year? They are 9-4 heading into conference play without a big/signature non conference win. With the ACC not quite being what it used to be they better reel off a good conference record or they could end up on the wrong side of the bubble.

Exactly. In fact, Wade stated preseason that NC State wasn't a rebuild and set expectations high. He even has a preseason ACC POY candidate. The year hasn't gone according to plan being 0-4 against major competition. Although everyone believes it was a great hire and he'll be successful, the results have been disappointing this year. It's noteworthy that he didn't take over a complete dumpster fire.
All that aside, it's absolutely dumbfounding that many here can't stop pining and whining over a guy who's been gone for four years and Wade fanboys keep repeating that he was fired for no reason. He refused to meet with his employer and run and hid. If one of you refuse to meet with your employer you'd be fired on the spot. Imagine a CEO who refused to meet with his Board of Directors. His on tape comments were an embarrassment to LSU. He was fired "For Cause" and didn't fight it. Maybe he was a sacrificial lamb to save LSU from a "lack of institutional control" situation. So be it.
He ain't coming back!!!

Yeah, you have a handful that are very vocal on here, and they will "say" that they pull for LSU....but deep down their weekend is ruined when LSU wins a big game...why you ask? Because they have to hear about positive vibes amongst the basketball team....and they don't want that, at all. They want 24/7 negativity.

You wasting your time. It is mostly the young people that thought making a brief appearance in the tourney, with no chance for a deep run, was the pinnacle of basketball at LSU. I'm sure that you are like me, that when we were growing up, we got to see multiple deep runs with Dale. So forgive me if I'm satisfied with a cameo experience in the big dance.

Not here home slice.

I go all the way back to Ethan Martin, Astronaut, HiC, Cookie Man, Rudy, and Willie Sims. I grew up with Dale and LSU basketball in the 80s, and loved that man.

I'm as big of a Wade guy as there is , and I know it's just MOTHERFLUCKING CRAZY on my part, but something about the 14-40 just doesn't sit right. I mean, who could possibly want to change coaches after an impressive record like that?????

Ya see, I like it win LSU WINS CONSISTENTLY. When we make the tournament EVERY FLUCKING YEAR.

I don't know what to tell you if you failed to see the turnaround Wade orchestrated here in BR. At lightning speed.

He was going to be another Dale here, (who by the way took a lot longer to get the program rolling than Will did). Or probably even a Scott Drew type who didn't win a national title until season 18 at Baylor.

And that would have been JUST FINE at LSU. But instead, we get to enjoy this TRAVESTY of a "coach" that losers on this board scramble to defend at all costs.

The NCAA has been told REPEATEDLY (over at least the last 20 years) to shut the fluck up and go sit in the corner by administrations WITH BALLS. Our administration just bends over, fires a WINNER, and takes it FOR NO REASON!!!!!!

It was mostly PV earning those fouls. I think their game plan was to foul and hope the refs would let them get away with it. Their PG wasn’t much of a factor, and he had been fouling all game.

That poster is a fraud and almost a guaranteed alter. Just look at his posts, completely opposing views without realizing it. He says people who appreciated the last era are stupid because we didn’t have the same success in 5 years that Brown had in 25 but at the same time attacks anyone who doesn’t worship the worst era we’ve ever had here. He’s a complete phony, a true mcmen.
