Maybe flip the centerfielder down to 8 or 9.

This. None of them can hit consistently. But they are all fast so it is nice to have speed on the bases for Braswell IF they get on.

Larson has been making contact, they just haven’t been falling

If you go back to the last Bama game, Larson is batting .111 and has K’d 11 times in 27 at bats. I’m not interested in benching him at this point. Bingham isn’t the answer. He’s doing just as bad over a much longer stretch.

You absolutely let Larson work through

Yes. I’d give him a few more games hoping he works it out. I’d go longer if the only option Jay considers is Bingham.

The new mantra is put your most productive hitter 2nd....in this case they may move Milam there!

I don’t think CF is much of a discussion at all. I think Brown hit well enough in Hoover to stay at CF. And I have been a Klinger all season.

To be fair, that’s the first time all season that Brown has hit SEC pitching. It’s his job if he keeps it up. But he isn’t polished enough in the field to hit like he did before the tourney (.143 in SEC regular season)

I love Kling on the bases. Dang I want him to start hitting better.

Tank won’t see anything to hit in that lineup

In a thread that was anchored last night, Broski said
quote:

I don’t think Kling was available today. When they announced the whole team prior to the game, they said his name, but he didn’t come out
I was rewatching parts of the game last night and I never saw Kling in the dugout. I hope there is nothing to that or maybe I just missed him.

I like the lineup from the last couple games. I wouldn’t change it.

If I had to set a lineup for the regional I think it would be

Braswell
Milam
White
Jones
Travinski
Pearson
Larson
Brown
Milazzo

I didn’t considers the L-L-L at the end there. Maybe swap Pearson and Travinski idk

I'd swap Milazzo and Brown. Brown has some speed and if he gets on, Braswell can move him around. Any of our CFs need to be batting last at this point. Milazzo is hitting more consistently than any of them.

Brown can’t hit lefties

I wouldn’t mind a platoon in CF

Milam is hot, but I don’t see him going to number four ever.

Milam has to hit either 1 or 3 with the way he is swinging now.

If we see a veteran soft tossing southpaw in the 2 vs 3 matchup, I’d definitely have Bingham in the lineup and maybe Frey instead of the freshmen. He wouldn’t sit Pearson if we were facing Randy Johnson and he had Aaron Judge available but we can’t have 3 automatic outs in the order vs a lefty again.

While this runner didn't score, it cost us. If this ball is caught, as it should have been, Ack pitches to one less batter in the second and would have had a chance to get out of the third before being pulled for a pitch count.

Have you ever fielded a line Drive hit straight at you in the OF?

That was definitely a misplay, even though I think it was probably one of those that’s really hard to read off the bat. Besides that, I think he played really good defense the rest of the week unless I’m missing something.
