His number is north of 5m to move on.
That’s 16th overall pick or higher. This month, he’s been mocked 13th, 10th, and 8th. He seems to be rising in the nose recent mocks.

The draftable sophomore rule is the dumbest thing in baseball.
Hopefully someone’s telling him that he can only have so much time living the dream at LSU with his gf and golden retriever… there’s plenty of time to grind away in the minors.

Little intel says he’s going 5th pick in the Draft - no ways he’s coming back. Per a source close to the War Room.

If he’s going 5 he’s taking a pretty good deal to get drafted there.

Yes that’s exactly what was said

Would the upcoming MLB strike and probably delayed season next year factor into a decision for these guys? Couple that with some college NIL money and maybe it would make sense to play another college season rather than get drafted and miss most of a season next year.

Don’t get me wrong… DC is a great player…. But all this “Top 15” “First round pick” talk is insane…. He won’t last at the MLB level.

Three different publications, that aren't basing their picks on their own ratings, but rather what they hear from scouts and front office people, have mocked him to go 14th or higher in their most recent mock drafts.
So, us talking about him as a top 15 pick is not insane. It's what the industry believes is going to happen.
Whether you feel he's worthy of it is a different story. But I'm going to guess that you know jack shite about the other players in the draft and what their projections and financial demands are, especially relative to the people at Baseball America, Kiley McDaniel at ESPN, and the folks at MLB.com who specialize in this and have actual industry sources.

Maybe maybe not. The flame out rate at the top of the draft is insanely high due to many factors, but the Majors is a really hard and competitive environment to stick around in. More than most other professional leagues. With that said it’s not at all insane if everywhere is saying that’s where he’ll go.

That's what everyone was saying about Milam.

Regardless of what anyone was saying, it’s two very different situations.

It's a good question but I think (not certain) that minor leaguers have a separate CBA from the big leaguers (40 man). Unless a player drafted this year makes it onto the 40 man by the time the lockout occurs, they will be playing ball in the minors next year.
