I think he’ll wind up being one of my favorite Tigers ever.

I would also imagine they know each other.

At this level, as with as much year-round baseball, tournaments, camps, etc., they attend, they most likely have met.

Really, cool of him to do that.

yes he is a tremendous player, but it’s so much more than that

I got to spend some time with him when we did a cleat project.

Humble, gracious, genuine. The kind of kid that inspires you to want to be a better person.

Playing UT seems to draw all of that bullshite out of guys, unfortunately.

Tennessee is often over-the-top obnoxious, which generates a response, in kind, the opponent. LSU fans bad-mouthed Root, but his actions were team specific. He didn't do any of that the first time he faced LSU (when he pitched well) and you didn't see any trash-talking/taunting, ridiculous reactions from Arkansas directed towards LSU in the two CWS games...and vice-versa.

My 3 year old grand son was watching the game. At the end he was happy but then he saw the Arkansas players crying. He said, "Papa, they are crying, why are they crying." He had a tear in his eye. soft hearted, his parents are raising him right.

you should have made him drop and give you fifty and then straight out to the cages until midnight! you know Washam would have done that!

I’d rather do what Davalan did than Aloy. Sometimes your body fails you. You make errors, you slip, you fall, and things happen. Aloy had a mental error from not paying attention to the game time situation. That runner on 3rd meant nothing even if he scores. Huge mental error as far as situational awareness.

Curiel is a class act. Proud that he represents LSU.

Washam would know I couldn't do 50 of anything. Back in those days, they were tougher though. Sometimes, I wish I would have talked to them more, but I'm certain they would have told me to shut up. Me and the QB had tossed and caught quite a few TDs before, but OT was strictly run, run, run. I don't even know if he knew we could pass and catch a lot better than the defenses back then.

He was a great all around guy.

I remember that, not so fondly either, I remember either he or Vickers would have the key or wrench to that sprinkler pipe that had a piece of water hose with a hole on the side near the end and a piece of cork in the end to make the water come out that hole, seems like once a practice they’d take us over there for a brief, limited drink, that’s if you weren’t puking so much you couldn’t drink

He's been a favorite player to watch all year in the SEC.

Uncanny composure for a freshman.
