If these are made up claims why hasn’t this person been canned?

I guess for the best case scenario you would hope that it's a misinformation test to see if they have a leak and they haven't identified the exact person. Otherwise, if they know who it is and that person is still around, that's a part of a bigger issue.

I think this is a really solid question ... Who knows?

I don't believe this entire story. Makes no sense at all UNLESS Scott Woodward is just trying to fire Wade and hire his own guy.

You talking about Abernathy and his satchel of cash in Gulfport?

I like Dale ok, as long as it doesn't come out that he's trying to undermine the program.

Let's not forget that for all the good Daddy Dale did, he totally gave up his last few years because what used to work for him in purchasing players, no longer worked.

I'll wait for more info before chastising Dale, but it seems he may be coming across as a bitter old man.

I think this could be a possibility. Considering that all the info dickie V has put out has never come to fruition. They could just be baiting to find the leak. But also idk why they would bait with accusations when they’re trying to get a massive recruit. The timing of everything dickie V says though is just insane, he clearly knows what he’s doing and there’s no reason he would just do this on his own accord. He has to be doing it to benefit someone who is in his ear.

If Dale is the source of Vitale's charges (which I highly doubt), LSUMBB has no problem. Dale doesn't have any info from inside the NCAA. And neither does the LSUAD.

That's a good point. I guess the only real reason would be playing the long game while already having a great class. It's just a thought, maybe Woodward thought this would be his best opportunity to do this. Who knows at this point what's really going on.

Long time ago in High School days I was very good friends with Dale's son-in-law's brother before he married Dale's daughter and god help us if we said anything about Dale.

If this is true I might just give Chris a call.

but I have a hard time believing Dale will be kept from the building.

He has not been to a game in quite a while. Wade disrespected him early on . Its who he is love him or hate him.

That administration including Skip vowed to never let a coach act like that again

It's why Les was hired. He was told to retain Jimbo, and told he could not bring Clay with him as DC and a year or two later Skip was dragging him around courting bowl games like the Cotton, can you imagine him even asking Saban?

Seriously doubt an AD would intentionally float a rumor like this just to make sure there's no rats on the ship.

was going to easily make dale the second best coach at LSU basketball

It could definitely be argued that John Brady already did that.

He left the program in the same shape or worse than he found it.
When he came to BR, LSU wasn't on probation.
Brady built it back, while on Dale's probation. Did Dale undermine Brady also?
Then he got his buddy, Johnny Jones, the job.
He left it in the same shape as Dale, without the probation.
Wade has rebuilt it in record time.
I once was a great supporter of Dale.
His biggest mistake, he staid too long. He should have retired after he exposed his arse in Knoxville.
Now it appears he is further damaging his legacy.
Such a shame.

Dale when he feels he's crossed comes out swinging - right or wrong. And Dale swings wildly.

He made some enemies over the years, powerful ones, that's why the name has never been changed.

That’s just not true. Dale was at many games this past season. I believe that he may have gotten his feelings hurt at some point. But he has continued to (publicly at least) support the program by attending. And there are a lot of former players who are now closer to the program than they were previously. Wade seems to have embraced the former players more than other coaches did before him. Which is interesting considering Johnny was a former player.

Yep, he was stubborn and arrogant in the last years of his tenure and ended up burning lots of bridges. I don't think you'll find anyone with close knowledge of how his tenure ended that thinks him giving Dickie this info is unbelievable. This would be par for the course with Dale Brown.

So I wonder who's the source on the very inside?
