Be serious, he gave LSU the best team/season in history and was vital to it. He went and got Joe, he rerecruited Chase after Miles told him he wasn't a SEC WR and was going to UF, he identified the need to modernize the offense and picked Joe Brady to do it. I'm not his biggest fan but come on. He left us in a mess for sure but set back 10 years??? We are still a mess on defense because BK didnt retain CR and brought in 2 DB coaches that had no business here. He gave the keys of the defense to House leaving us with no recruiters and bad coaches on defense or we'd be back on defense by now

Revisionist. You might wanna go back and look at all of the different players that came in from the portal. Including Daniels. You don’t get there without him. That’s a fact.

There were 38 scholarship players who chose to dress for bowl game. More scholarship players were on the roster, including Nuss. Why do so many of you constantly get this wrong? And it had very little impact as BK was able to go to SECCG the following year with many of O's players. How in the world does this equate to setting the program back 10 years?

What have you accomplished in your life that trumps Coach O’s career?
Put some respect on that man’s name.

Agreed, but the comment I was replying to stated that the program was set back 10 years. Transfer portal was in full swing and waiting to name Kelly as coach until after the season also impacted players leaving. BK had to add some players from portal, but he inherited quite a few high NFL draft pics from O.

Played with him at NSU he was a big drinker and bad azz fighter. Saturday night fights at the bars usually involved him. Now Bobby like stuff other than alcohol. We partied a lot ! I quit fighting for the most part in high school.

Call him retarded, etc., but we won a national championship and had our best team ever under him and won the West the year after he was gone. He didn't set us back 10 years. Dumb comment. And the Burrow team brought LSU a different kind of respect.

Wife and I pulled up to the football building the Sunday prior to signing day in January 2019. Walking up to the building out came Ed and Aranda. Introduced everyone, Aranda went to his car, and Ed ushered us up to his office and spent an hour with us. Arranged a tour of Tiger Stadium, shall I go on? Ed O is great and certainly one-of-a-kind.

It did, but not nearly that bad because of the portal. BK put in work and we won 10 games immediately. Teams lose a lot of players now with the portal. It giveth and it taketh away.

NIL was not equal in all states and as we found out LSU was behind in how it managed NIL until July of this summer. LSU NIL has been revenue sharing more than dedicated to football. Why is this particularly important? Title IX. That shite show will continue to hurt LSU.

Like? Nuss? NOPE. He sat and had to be recruited.
Kelly had a lot to do with all of those freshman that stayed committed.

They were at 38 roster players. Go examine the roster and the impact.
It’s like people that give Paul all the credit for the 2023 baseball title. When the truth is without Cooper, Hurd and Skenes, there is not title. Cooper was the MVP in Omaha. Hell, Cade Beloso had hung up his cleats.

First & foremost I haven't beaten on women & been arrested for it. Nor have I almost beaten a man to death in a bar. I haven't threatened to take people to fishing hole so they disappear either.
