Will there be more LSU fans at this game than they were at LSU/Tenn? I hope LSU fans show, but I suspect it will be less than last time.

No, there won’t be more OM fans than UTk fans. I’m expecting a very good crowd tomorrow, close to capacity. If not this game, then when?

Nope.

OM doesn’t travel well.

In a normal year, i'd agree, but 7-0! Why wouldn't they?

Ole Miss plays us every year, in BR every other year. Tennessee hadn't played here in over a decade and finally has a really good team so a lot of them made the trip.

I doubt that’s the case here when they’re only a few hour drive away. OM has quite a few folks in Louisiana already. Add in the Texas OM fans and I think they can get close to the Tenn fan turnout.

Either way, there should never be a time that a visiting team’s fans play a factor. It’s Tiger Stadium/Death Valley. LSU fans should always dominate.

They probably didn’t even sellout their allotment.

Historically, Tennessee has always traveled well, regardless of where they play. I was a freshman in Tiger Band for the 1972 Astro Bluebonnet Bowl in Houston. I saw so much orange in the stands for the game my eyes hurt for a week.
They easily outnumbered purple and gold.

OMiss did not even sellout their 6K visitors allotment from LSUAD. OM returned some tickets several weeks ago. OM has trouble filling up their smallish home stadium much less getting 10K+ in DV.

Not even close. SEC West teams will never travel as well as SEC East teams that only come to BR once every 12 years. It will be the same as every other year that Ole Miss comes to LSU.

Ole Miss don’t travel well anywhere. Hell, it was just 3 weeks ago their coach was complaining about poor attendance in Oxford.

Oxford is 334 miles from Baton Rouge and almost a 6 hour drive.

As a rule they don't travel well, but with one exception-- games at LSU. This rivalry is still very important for the Rebs.

I've heard that before regarding LSU'S opponents, most recently in reference to Florida State.

The Noles easily outfanned LSU in the September 4th Superdome game.

There were not more FSU fans in the Dome. Yes, they were louder, but they did not outnumber LSU fans.
