I've been a member of various LSU forums for about two decades. In that time, I've encountered two or three of the multimillionaire, business owning boosters who stand near the heart of LSU football. All of them basically corroborate your account. As I've said before, if it is a lie, it's a well-coordinated one.
Just typical LSU that a bunch of dilettante, self-serving, cheap functionaries and greasy politicos have condemned us to perpetual frustration. We'll be good, but not good enough. Meanwhile, a segment of the fan base celebrates the demise of our championship hopes because it vindicates their personal sentiments. Great. Disheartening beyond words.

Now that it's done, come out with everything.
I appreciate you manning up, but people keep saying they trust this or that yet still give zero credible info.

I received corroborating information from people that were putting up $$$ for the buyout too I just didn't post it here.

You're good man. At least you were just relaying your information and trying to feed our need for drama instead of begging for up votes and being an attention craving whore like Vanilla Ice. You're still good in my book

Me too. In fact, I'm doing my best to throw everyone off the trail.

Do you believe that Miles is going to win another championship in his time at LSU? There is no evidence to suggest that's the case. Other than blind faith, what is the basis of your position?
I think logic and available evidence indicate that Jimbo gave us a much better chance than Miles at future titles. In light of that, I'm genuinely not sure why anyone would be jubilant or celebratory about the retention of Miles.

A lot of Rantards threw the tar on me and were ready for the feathers but my "boy" who works for the AD office had it right.

Where are you getting that I'm jubilant?

There were coaches on staff and administrators who privately said Jimbo was a done deal.
I originally thought that some of the BOS members/boosters acted big shot w chatter about paying buyouts, because talk is cheap. Then when faced w extortion tactics by Sexton, they shriveled up.
But, the Alexander thing is definitely interesting. Must have played a part in the decision, but I also think the guys willing to foot the bill said Fisher ain't no Saban. One BOS member said Friday before last that he didn't think Miles would be fired because we didn't have anyone lined up, while two other members told people close to them that Jimbo has been behind the scenes, lobbying for the job.
One thing is for certain, this thing was about as well coordinated as a Les Miles offense.

You give a great speech then kill it with the back hand criticism of those that don't agree with you.
Not one person is happy with losing, it's just the negas have said it do many times most of y'all are starting to believe it.
When Coach Miles' days are over he should be sent out with the same dignity he has shown this program.
We all want to win a championship, but I'm not selling my soul to the devil to get it.
Life to me trumps sports.

Wasn't directed at you personally. More of a general query. I really don't get why anyone would be happy about retaining Miles. In my view, those individuals might as well be pumping their fists and yelling "Yes, we just reduced our championship chances! Geaux Tigers!" Strange way to be an LSU fan. Anyway, it is what it is now.
