Would be interesting to know how many first pitch strikes the team has watched this season.

Can't deny this but I really don't think this team is as talented or even remotely close to what people thought it would be. Pretty much everyone out of the portal except Moore has been a bust in my opinion and they didn't replace the outgoing with guys equally as talented or better.
Also, the fact they bet on Bide to be the guy at catcher was a huge blunder as you can already see.

Yeah, I really don't get it in a game like this where you are not trying to get the pitch count up on a starter that you want to run out of the game.

At this point I am convinced it’s a team wide mental block.
Players are talented and the coaches are good we all know this.
Fielding is so lackadaisical they play as if they already have the out. Hitting is “hero ball” just trying to be the man not keep the inning alive and pitching is inconsistent besides the weekend starters

I do. I tell me Jay has zero faith in this lineup to swing so they need free passes as much as possible.

This all falls on the coaching staff. Just a cavalcade of failed decisions... at least thus far.
The caveat in all of this is that, technically, the season doesn't start for another 2 days. A winning record in SEC play then nothing that has happened to this point matters.
