so what are we paying Cameron for if Craig is the de facto OC

This is the reason why I'm not believing any of this "change" news. Same sh*t, different offseason... I just hope I'm wrong.

Last year’s passing problems were, in part, because of Cameron’s distant presence in the press box, the quarterback suggested.

I'll believe we have a changed passing game when I see it.

And I'll need to see it for more than 1 game against a rent a win team.

If Cam needs help from Craig, he needs a major pay cut.

Yea, when I see Harris at 60% and 200+ yards vs Wisconsin I'll believe.

THIS...at least on offensive scheme and play calling.

I do however, believe we will see improve from Harris with Craig's teaching. He's coached college QBs to be very successful and has worked or played under Jimbo for 8 years. If everything does work out, he should be groomed to be the next OC.

Name one play where LSU did this.

i'm not sure what that means but I do know that BH want Cam on the sideline and that's where he oughta be. I also agree with BH about needing to improve execution. he is saying all the right things.

I know it is a small sample size, but having Cam on the sideline seemed to help BH and the offense in the Texas Bowl, but it could have just been TTU's horrible defense. I do think having Cam there to talk in person & "coach em up" on the sidelines will help either BH or Etling.

AT LEAST FOR ONCE IT WON'T BE FOR LACK OF TRYING!
You're the dumb one. I full expect LSU to have a much improved passing game.

Maybe not on the level of an average college football team but much better than anything we have ever seen from a LSU football team (which means probably still below average). Still enough to back defenses off the line and pose a threat.

not so much in 2015, but often enough in 2014. That's one of the reasons Jennings got such a bad rap. No QB could thrive in the 2014 style offense. 2015 was much improved in what we TRIED to do, without much success. Part of which was on Harris for not being able to execute and more of which was on Cameron for not developing him or for not running an offense that was more QB friendly from the start. Cameron is a good coach but he is just not familiar with running or coaching an effective offense style. Good thing we have Craig.

Really, I did laugh. I'm not ruling out that you might have wrote that tongue in cheek, but I'm inclined to say you posted without considering that Cam just took a 20% pay cut for this year (from 1.5M to 1.2M)... Whether he's worth 1.2M is another matter. But it does make your post funnier than you probably intended.

Right because we didn't hire new coaches or anything.

I'm over the negativity. Until we see it we should support our team. Any opinion until then is pure conjecture.

Players are allowed to improve. Coaches can change.

When you can type "Les Miles can change" without getting a funny feeling, let me know.

If you were a part of the fire Les crowd, I get the disappointment. But really, what else could you have asked for since the Nightmare November? We won the bowl game, there was a home run hire at DC, home run hire at RB Coach, home run hire at WR coach (dude adds value at two positions), stellar external recruiting class, stellar internal recruiting class (look at all those Juniors who came back). That's not reason to be optimistic?
