Romero should have started the season behind Diecmann.

So they DH him in Huston while he was hurt?
Or was you not watching the beginning of the season?

I was in Houston for those games. Wasn't aware those were the first games of the season.

If Reid can play 1st, I'd probably rather him than Woley there. I just love his approach at the plate. He will walk 30 times for every strikeout he has.

Ok Ell just for you. He had a shoulder injury preventing him from catching. He had an ankle injury preventing him from DHing at the beginning of the season. Houston was before SEC play. No excuse for him not DHing in SEC play. Diecmann has felt the repercussions of not having protection since SEC play and it's not a kwinky dinky that he hit the ball out the state of Arkansas last night.
I've played and coached for the better part of my life and fully understand that coaches do things differently and I don't come on here complaining much but this has made no since.
Just to be clear to the ranters on here that don't really know baseball Romero could go 0-20 and still be the best option behind Diecmann because the thought process of the opposing teams pitch caller is not automatically (I'll just stay away from Diecmann) because now you just put another guy on base with a potential HR threat behind him.

Meh, its not like we hit our way into that win. 2 hit batters, 2 errors, a wild pitch....
Then by this board's fricking logic arky needs to fire their coach

You may be right about that. I just haven't seen enough Woley to make up my mind

He started 5-20. Watson took over an outfield spot and locked onto it using his bat. Beau was still hitting 0.320+.
Does Romero need to be in the lineup now? Sure. That's something that makes sense and you can defend. Should he have "started the season" at DH? No. He was hurt for 3 weeks and still wasn't producing after that. There's plenty to hate PM for where you don't have to go exaggerating and bullshitting.

the tact of blaming the coach for recruiting the players is bull shite. why don't we blame their parents for having them, their teachers for allowing them to pass to the next year and their high school sweethearts that jilted them in the 11th grade.
Because their parents, teachers and high school sweethearts didn't decide to give them a spot on our team. The coach did.
It's very simple. The coach recruits and develops the players. If the players aren't performing well, he's done at least one of those things poorly.
If you don't think the coach is responsible for how the team performs, then what exactly is he doing? Why do teams have coaches and pay them a salary if they can't impact how the teams play?

He deserves praise for this win. If he gets pooped on for the awful losses, give him credit for the awesome wins!
Not with this fanbase. Losses are the coaches fault. Wins are in spite of the coach.

He must read the Rant because it's been 2 weeks we have called for dH changes (Romero). As far as walking Spanberger, that was a no brainer. Match up of righty versus lefty; this guy has worn your arse out; force at every base; force an out at every base; and the guy you are about to face can't hit a change.
All reasons to walk Spanberger. Nothing special.
Then we still needed 2 errors to win. Arky collapsed

Maybe, but he did pitch Strall and Peterson once they got down big. We lucked out that those 2 didn't give up any runs.

Disagree- Paul should have never left Poche in as long as he did to give up so many runs. He had Hess in the bullpen, who could have pitched the rest of the game. Instead, he brings out pitchers he normally brings in when he's conceded the game The team won despite the coach

Would you take Diecmann out if he was 0-20?
PM referred Romero to the LF of LSU baseball last year after a SEC series now that was exaggerating but the fact of the matter is there is no other HR threats on the team. PM has used little sweet & Duplantis for protection and they don't weigh 155 soaking wet. Last year he pulled JR then what teams did with the Jordan twins batting after Diecmann was laughable it was total disrespect

That's not how it works.
