Greg, my care level regarding Paul mainieri commenting is a 0
My care level as to why goofy arse fans care about this is a mild 3.
You good now?

If CPM did not take the SC job, he would have spent the week in Omaha celebrating with the Tigers. I am sure once he leaves SC, he will be back involved with LSU.

He'll get to see the Intimidator up close and personal again next spring.

I bet Maineiri has conflicting feelings. I’m sure he’s happy for LSU and Jay Johnson to have won it. On the other hand, he spent 12 years trying to win a second title and never got it. Seeing Jay get a second one just two years after his first has to be a bit of a gut punch.

You literally said you hoped he was there wearing purple and gold while being a current head coach of another SEC school.

He did nothing but suck the life out of the box….thankfully he is gone….SC was stupid to hire him

Did Jim Smith congratulate Jay?
True story : Jim was LSU baseball coach in the 1970s until he got a promotion to equipment manager for the football team

I saw LSU play at the Box when Jim Smith was coach. Probably no more than 100 fans in the stands. Double header vs the Aggies. I remember A&M had a really good SS named Bonner.

Go to the golf course closest to his house

Did he take credit for all players on this team too
He never did this for the 2023 team, in fact he made it a point anytime he was doing his interviews with Mik'd Up to say the opposite.
Jay was the one giving him credit.
This board still being triggered by Paul is weird as frick.
Dude was a net positive for the program, now he's gone and we have a better coach in his place. Move the frick on.

Agree.
He's a huge reason why we're at where we're at today. I have no ill feelings toward CPM at all.
His six consecutive years as a a national seed is matched only by Stanford.

Like I don't think people realize how fricked up things were when Smoke left.
Paul getting that program back to Omaha two years later and then a title three years later deserves to be celebrated.
