Why? All he'd have to do is run a decent offense, keep Chavis and win 10 games a year. Not that hard at LSU. Our only real tough games are AtM and Bama.

It would be a lot harder if Miles went to Arky. He would tear up Monroe and the Shreveport area in recruiting. While A&M is trying to work thier way into Lake Charles, and Saban would try to deepen his hooks in Southern Louisiana. If Miles leaves plan on getting excited over 8-4 seasons.

Miles supposedly took the lsu job in the locker room at halftime of the alamo bowl. This is a rumor within the coaching staff at okst. Its supposedly why gundy and him dont get along

Maybe Miles needs a review and bidding clause like Spurrier had...were he can see what is out there and entertain discussions for a breif period after each season ?

At some point this becomes a ROI call...How much do you pay someone for how much assumed revenue ?

I know one thing, just as I got tired of Saban being up for every NFL job every year, I am getting tired of Miles having to decide if he wants to stay every other year.

Spot on. Not saying I'd be happy...I like Les and the job he's done. Just agree that most would forget about him with a home run hire.

It has gotten to the point that my impression of them is old nasty men in their four day old shite stained boxers and wife beater sitting at the puter. Between wiping drool off their chins with their cum catching rag, they type fire miles 10-2 aint good enuff hire oleballs corch yadayada. Then they catch cum in the rag, wipe the chin smooth the rag around the 3 hairs they still have, spit on the floor fart and do it again.. SOS ever fricken day!

and us smart ones here know that likelyhood of a "home run hire" is slim to none right now

Only reason we're (I'm) butthurt over Saban is because he left on good terms (which is fine) and then decided to return to a team in our division and has proceeded to piss on our parade since.

Not sure how I'd feel about Miles. Depends how bad his replacement was. At this point I'm not happy with him so I couldn't really complain about it unless we got an idiot like Gene Chizik as a replacement.

As do most of us. Just saying fans are fickle. If the next guy stepped in and won big (big if) LSU fans would forget about Miles, Saban, etc.

Tards are so quick to pounce.

Broski, did you at all read my post. What everyone was pissed about was that Saban strung us along late into the year, making it hard to conduct an exhaustive coach search. Damn this board is full of morons.

"And he left in December, that's not that late in the process."

It was December, but that is very late in the process because he did it all the way to Christmas, lying the whole time and putting LSU in a tough spot because the coaching carousel had already turned. Saban was a very good coach but he showed zero loyalty, at any step, to LSU.

**First note: I'm glad Les is staying. The premise of the entire thread was IF he were to leave.

Put LSU in a tough spot? You'd think after having the Bears, Giants, then finally the Dolphins court him the program would've taken a hint? If a coach is putting his name out there for NFL jobs, the program should be searching for possible replacements as well. Finding a replacement wasn't Satan's job.

Zero loyalty? He could've taken the Dolphin job late November and left us stranded vs Iowa. He said he'd be here to coach the bowl game and did not comment on the future.

Contrary to what you may think, smooth coaching transitions, involving good coaches and programs, are extremely rare. You can't always have a Jimbo Fisher waiting to take over. How about having your coach "retire" for two years and then take a coaching job in his home state?

It fricking feels like 2004 all over again. Change your tampons.

He might as well have left us stranded vs. Iowa.

Little Nicky's head was up his arse the entire game. Do you even remember how we lost?

People hate Saban because he now coaches at Bama. He was eventually leaving anyway, he brought us a national title.

It WAS too late. Florida had already hired Urban Meyer and South Carolina Spurrier.
