I know people are shitting on you in here. But hes a guy I would love to take over a program. He's going to be one of those special minds in college football. He would just lock down his defense and hire an OC and give them an offense.

I believe Les will hold out too long and Aranda will go get a different HC job before LSU would come open.

I'll never understand why everyone suggests assistant coaches with limited to no HC experience. Regardless of how you feel about Miles, he is regarded as a top 5-10 coach. I'm pretty sure LSU should/will get the same caliber once his time is done.

Replacing Les Miles will be an absolute cluster as evidenced by this past off-season. Let's enjoy the small modicum of stability we have achieved this year!

Could Aranda be a viable candidate to replace Miles when Miles retires in the
future? Assuming he does outstanding work with our defense.

Way too early to start that kind of talk. Hell the defense hasn't been under his aegis for one game. He has great potential but let the man build a resume before you crown him our illustrious leader.

LSU isn't a school where you learn how to be a head coach. I am a firm believer that schools like LSU, Bama, Florida, Ohio State, Gerorgia, Texas, USC, or other top 15 jobs in the country should never hire a coach with zero head coaching experience. I would be mad if they would have got rid of Les for Kirby Smart. Sorry Smart may end up being great but give me a guy that knows how to handle being the guy. The one all the blame goes on and knows how to handle a staff of highly motivated individuals to join together as one and build a team to their own style.

Stuff like this is exactly what causes so many of you to melt so hard when LSU loses. You set the bar too high. I mean damn, can we let the guy coach a game here first before talking about him being head coach?

Jeez, people. He's never coached one down for us yet and has no experience as a head coach. Take a breath, please.

This website is so strange. Go back two months and all of y'all would have down votes for saying Aranda hasn't proven anything as a Tiger coach. As of March 9, 2016 forty eight up votes verses two down votes for saying Aranda hasn't even coached a game as a Tiger. Seriously the hype on here has me thinking he won't give up 20 points an entire season. It's going to be really funny when we give up four hundred yards of offense!

Miles will coach 5 more seasons. LSU will win national titles in 2016 and 2018, and Aranda will take over in 2021.

sounds a lot like the Lou tepper hype of the late 90s. Lets hope this plays out better.

People will calling for his head the first time a team racks up 400 yards of offense.
Please, the cries will start the first time the defense gives up a 3rd and 8 conversion. OMG3rdandAranda!!!1!

Good point. We melt when we lose. It's really funny.
