I don't think so. What do you say?
And we already have the dumbest post of 2026.

This Indiana team wouldn’t beat lsu , Clemson or bama from 2019

The great teams from pre NIL would handle any of today’s teams. Talent is too spread out now.
Correct
You could make the argument that they're the best team in the NIL era if they dominate Miami though
We have to keep the different eras in perspective

IU is a nice story but don't think they have seen this.
Derrick stingley
Grant Delpit
Patrick queen
Klavion Chaisson
Rashard Lawerence
Kristen Fulton
Amongst others.
And Dave Aranda.

LSU 19 would beat Indiana by 20 plus
Nope. I’d bet on 2019 LSU, but it would be a ballgame.
The best you can say about any team is they were the best that year. The game changes year by year and there is no telling how a team from one season would do against a team from another season. If you want to compare the question is: Was LSU 2019 better than the rest of the 2019 teams by a greater margin than Indiana (or whoever) is better than the rest of the 2025 teams?
If you put them on the same field the team from six years later would probably win.

Last year OSU team will have more talent, more NFL stars but they slept walked thru the Michigan game. Indiana slept walked thru Penn St but got lucky & pulled it out.

That game would be over by halftime just like the Oklahoma game was.

Yes, even though this game can’t be proven I say absolutely. And I’m not trying to take away anything from Indiana that have looked great in these last two games. But I still don’t believe they’re a better team than the ‘19 squad even if the best Miami next week ..

There will never be a team today, teams by the way that usually are far thinner than the elite teams were pre NIL and portal, that would beat a team like 2019 LSU. The front line talent coupled with the depth of LSU that year puts them in a class of their own.

If you're on an LSU board and you're talking about a fantasy matchup that's never going to happen everyone's going to say LSU. If you're on an Indiana board everyone's going to say Indiana. What's the point of this?
Posted on 1/12/26 at 10:56 am to LSUPHILLY72
Let's get both teams together and put it on the field and see. They're still close to the average age being the same lol

LSU would have beat them as is but just think about what the portal could have done for the LSU defense as well.
