Thought cotton was taking SECCG loser? Wouldn't it make sense for Mizzou to cotton and USCe to Cap 1.

So who would the Cap One take? SC?

That would send Mizzou to the Outback and LSU to the Cotton correct?

Cap one takes first pick. I am guessing they take South Carolina but could take mizzou.

Outback then gets first choice at available sec east teams, presumable mizzou but maybe sc. Meanwhile cotton gets first choice at an sec west team. If the outback doesn't want mizzou (or sc) the cotton would be happy to take them. (And are required to in Missourian case).

If the outback does allow the cotton to take that sec east team, they decide on Lsu, Georgia, or aggies. I can see the outback passing on mizzou and taking Lsu, it seems unlikely they pass on 11 win mizzou to take an 8 win team. But it isn't impossible

They would have to take them this year.

They have to take Missouri but not South Carolina but I edited to address your point.

I've been assuming South Carolina to the Cap One the entire time. Is there any reason to think the Outback would pass on Missouri (putting us in Cotton)?

Well I wouldn't expect Missouri to be a good traveling team especially after traveling to Atlanta and Missouri is a long drive to Tampa.

But I would still think they take them. They might pass to get a 9-3 Lsu team but not for an 8-win team

I don't think they would pass on it, but I think the Cotton would bring an east/west trade to the table to get Mizzou to Dallas. I can see Outback being ok with that seeing as Mizzou probably wouldn't sell as many tickets as we would.

Bowls make deals all the time. I still think the Outback would pass on Mizzou to get A&M.

Missouri won the SEC East. What makes you think they won't travel well?

Then that would send SC to the Cotton because the Outback will pass on them.

If we don't go to the Cotton, I'd just as soon see tOSU play Mizzou and watch 'Zou have their way with Urban's B1G boys.

I just want to play in a New Year's Day bowl, so I don't have to take a vacation day so early in the year.
