What a G.
Didn't go in there high-cappin. Just delivered the message straight. Can't help but respect it, because he paid his dues and excelled at the highest level.

Dude was dominant at LSU. 7 interceptions in back to back seasons, 2 time All American, National Champion. 2 time SB champion, and 20 picks in the league. One of the better Tigers ever in my opinion.

He’s my favorite LSU player of all time, partly because of the couple of times we crossed paths in between classes. He is a super nice guy.

If Corey doesn't find his groove late in the 2007 season I don't think the Giants win the SB. Probably lose to Packers.

What is he up to now. I’d love to bring guys like him back to help coach and all

Still waiting for tyrann to retire, he’s going to be a huge asset at lsu and the New Orleans area!

What an original cornerstone player to the LSU football revival. He was very direct with the current players and was not feeding them any lies or other delusional bullshite.

Corey was a great Tiger. Glad to still see him around the program.

What’s even crazier was early on in 2007 he was seeing limited playing time due to poor performance, but once he got it together, he played as well as anyone. He shut TO down in the game vs the cowboys as well.

Before the 2008 wild card game vs Tampa Bay the Giants #1 corner Sam Madison went down. A Bucs player said “Sam Madison is out, Corey Webster is playing and he fricking sucks. Get ready for a wild ride.” Corey had an INT, a Fumble recovery and 2 pass breakups in that game. He’s always been underrated and always been a gamer.

Giants changed DCs mid season and went from a zone based scheme to press man. Once the change was made Webster started playing much better.

Corey Webster would be a great mentor for Denver Harris.

"Underrated": LSU / DiNardo was not recruiting him & his high school staff had several former Greenies on it. His destination till Saban came in, saw film, & offered & signed him immediately.

There were about half a dozen words in that speech that would not perfectly apply to just about any group working together to achieve any goal. Hearing a message like that from an LSU legend like him has got to be a good influence on our guys. If you can't learn from something like that, I don't know what can help you.

If Webster isn't into coaching, he could go into motivational speaking!
