re: Convince me that LSU's 2014 offense won't be a repeat of the JJ days

I watched the replay of the Oregon State game from 2004, and personally I'm somewhat concerned that we could have Randall/Russell Part II. If it weren't for the Oregon State kicker we would have lost that game.

your right andrew.....alot of ppl are setting themselves up for a big let down...hell we had cam last year and couldn't get it done against ole piss
Picks in the first half killed promising drives and put the team into a hole. The offense put everything together for a comeback win, but then the defense collapsed.
Do you even pay attention to the games?

Randall/Russell Part II.
That was frustrating to watch. People often talk about how great Russell was and seem to forget how dismal he was at first. Very poor accuracy, and questionable decision making. Randall was simply a game manager, but he really didn't have the best arm either. Also, I don't think either player handled the QB rotation well.
I actually think 2010 was the better QB rotation in recent memory. Lee literally saved the Florida game with his arm.

Cam Cameron outstanding offensive mind.
Two quality athletic QB's who have stronger and more accurate arms than JJ. Plus they are both very intelligent and shy away from arrogance. Leonard Fournette an elite talent. Strong well coached offensive line with multiple returnees. Talent rich WR's. Ego, cockiness are missing. JJ loved him some Jj and it showed.

I don't think anyone can answer that, yet. I do think the offense is easier. It's coached to be easier. Players tend to play faster and with more confidence when it's easier. Now, will it translate to the field? We shall see.

I didn't really read the topic name or the question within, but this is my answer:

I have been very impressed by what I've heard from both AJ and BH. Neither one seems to be the "me first" type that JJ was.

Don't get me wrong I love LSU football.. but I can't help but be a little pessimistic with such inexperience on offense.. especially at QB
With a loaded offensive line and running game, and how young we are on offense, would you take this stat line;
13 GP 13 GS
198/336 (58.9%)
2363 yards 19 TDs 8 ints
171 yards rushing 1 TD
