Well, a flood eemergency was just issued in Houston. So, there must be SOME flooding occurring there. Hope it doesn't get as bad as forecasted.

Houston proper has miraculously escaped the large bands that have hammered the burbs west of town and north of town (where I live). we received about 10inches today after being hammered for over 6 inches last night. the creek will be over flood stage in the morning when I get up and up to 16 inches is forecast over the next two days. Houston proper is currently receiving some of the same treatment; their escape looks over. I have never seen a storm like this; it's far away and just won't die or move. usually, the weather people are sensationalists but this looks like they are correct and many areas that have never flooded are going under.

since rain is forecasted every day for the next 7 days I'm afraid that this game will have to be moved. unless the rain significantly slows the stadium won't be accesssable to most. it appears this is major league shite.

thanks man. my bags will be packed and tomorrow evening we will go thru the exercise of raising stuff. hope to hold out until Monday to leave and then i'm headin' to mom's in Alexandria.

I feel lucky to have warning. most people in BR didn't. hell, I have built 6 homes over the years; my first was in Baton Rouge off of Greenwell Springs road. that was in '77 I believe. it never flooded until last year and it went way under then.

it sucks but what's you going to do?

I'm very serious. Why would Tiger Stadium or the Superdome be passed up for a halfass stadium in Utah?

Tiger Stadium could definitely be ready for next weekend. Plus you can sell a lot more tickets with 30,000 more seats. Give the extra money to BYU for the inconvenience

Yeah, it's starting to look possible that the Astros series starting Tuesday with the Rangers will move to Arlington, the Texans-Cowboys money grab...err preseason finale will move to Arlington and LSU-BYU will move to BR.

VETO!

I LIVE in PROVO & am coming to Houston for this game. I've waited 2 1/2 years for this game & it better damn well happen! Besides which...beer here is 3.2% unless you go to the state liquor store which there's only 1 of in Provo & it closes at 7pm on Saturday & is closed on Sundays & holidays.

Any other questions?

In more ways than one. I live here. LSU fans would not do well in Provo. Trust me.

How many wives do you have?

Are any of them hot?

If yes, can you post pictures?

Asking for a friend.
