I think King Alexander is NOT doing a good job and I question his courage as a principled leader.
However, many of the comments on here are embarrassing.
The word "unhinged" comes to mind...

Hey arse, it's TAF's money, NOT LSU's.

That's also incorrect. The money belongs to a handful of boosters.

Nah, he was right. TAF pays for these things.

Now obviously the heavy hitters kick in more coin but there was never going to be 2 or 3 guys writing checks for an extra 15 million for a buyout.

Why would they? The TAF, from the mega donors down to the 25 buck a year guy, collectively has more than enough.

And if they didn't, they would just raise prices under the "You wanted him, you help pay for him" axiom.

Are you fricking stupid?

The BOS loves Alexander. I don't agree with everything he does, but on the whole, he's doing a great job.

And as much as I love LSU football and even if the firing was bungled, I'd never be behind firing the president of a university over something related to personnel in the athletic department.

LSU is, first of all, an institution of higher learning. Most, especially in Louisiana, have no concept of that.

Elitism in support of Alexander will not be very helpful to him...

And people really wonder why we will never beat the top teams and be a top team again.

Its obvious, LSU Football is done as long as these types are in charge.

Yes, let's fire the president of the entire LSU education system because you didn't get the head coach you wanted for your football team. People like you should go play in traffic. This post was edited on 11/30 at 4:12 pm

He'll be fired soon enough when TAF suddenly doesn't have enough backing to cut the school $8 million checks.

I've added to the petition of firing everyone at LSU that the University should shut down, relinquish its membership in the SEC, and turn Tiger Stadium into housing for the homeless.

Yeah, E-mail them to fire the University System President over a football coach. I'm sure that will give these guys a chuckle.

LSU football just took a backseat to academic financial politics, and that is fricking unacceptable and inappropriate given the financial independence of academics and athletics.

F King has to be removed. I will not rest until he is gone. I'm fuming mad at Alexander, as all LSU football fans should be. He just botched a key decision regarding the state's flagship football program, and he deserves to pay the price. Does he have the authority to make that decision? Of course, and with that responsibility he also gets to face the consequences of his actions.

What is it that you guys don't understand about Alleva's boss is Alexander? Does one really think that Alleva made a solo decision about firing most visible person affiliated with the university without collaboration from his boss? The buck stops at Akexander. It is not the decision that I am concerned with but how it all went down.

Good. It's about time we cleaned house and show everybody that we don't love the staff more than the school and we're not willing to settle for mediocrity by keeping the same group that doesn't have us at #1 in the US NEWS rankings.
