Mr. Alleva serves at the pleasure of Mr. Alexander. He stood by silienty and witnessed the LSU brand be drug through the mud for 2 weeks. No way this idiot was not part of the process. The buck stops with Alexander and he needs to pay the price. If you are happy with what went on then don't email or call. One thing for sure, doing nothing will guarantee the same results the next time!

You're being too simplistic.
It's well known that having a championship caliber football team increases donations to the school, increases applications for enrollment, increases exposure of the university, and overall increases money coming in both to the athletic and academic side. And, oh by the way, the athletic department contributes millions to the academic side of the school.
College presidents are short-sighted if they don't do all they can to have a championship caliber football program.

No denying that this was leaked to the media and what we all witnessed. Whether you like Miles or not(I happen to like him). Alleva answers to Alexander and he is ultimately responsible for damaging not helping LSU. Coaches and administrators come and go but LSU should be kept intact and can't afford setbacks. Educate yourself and you will know that the athletic program gets "NO PUBLiC" funding from the university!
