LINK How could BK hit home runs on his offensive hires and strike out so bad on his defensive hires?

Cbk offense develops first then his defense. It's been his staple everywhere he has been

UGA fans claimed he did a bad job developing their talent. Guess they were wrong.

You think the DB coaches inherited the same talent base as Hankton did?

I like Hankton and he did a great job, but he had some talent on the roster when he arrived. Not sure any defensive coach can say that.

He inherited two first round talents. Lets wait and see how his recruits do.

A lot of top WR recruits at UGA never panned out while he was there and at times regressed. I feel a ton better about Hankton now, but let’s wait another year or two and see.

He was handed talented kids, that's it. In case you forgot, before he got here, both of those guys were freshman.

Very talented players that he didn’t recruit. All I’m saying is let’s wait a year or two and see.

yall do realize the system they ran the majority of the time he was there right? As a matter of fact, do yall even understand UGA has never been a WR factory? How about looking up the last time they had a 1000 yard WR? How about looking up their last great NFL WR before Pickens?

yep.

But will say this:

A) even the established talents (Nabers, BTJ) improved trough the season

B) Guys like Lacy went from 25% snaps and on the fence as far as reliability to regular rotation, making route reads, and eliminating the dropsies. This is definitive for me.

They haven't done any better since he's been gone.

Don’t forget, people thought of Kirby Smart as Les Miles East for a long time.

UGA is on the top of the CFB mountain, yet still no elite defense is intimidated by their 2-minute drill. Something that deeply entrenched can’t be blamed on your WR coach lol.

Is this his last game? Would you go back to being a position coach after you get promoted?
