What day did you play our "A" team? Look at the attachment in busbeepbeep's post. It cleary says LSU "B".

in a exhibition over at SLU...don't have my schedule around...but it was def the A team. Ask any of your players...fans were throwing coke bottles onto the field after the game at the LSU team for way they were acting

I'll have to take your word for it, but the LSU rugby website and the attachment both have the "B" team playing you all on Feb 14th.

I wasn't there, but I doubt they were doing anything that warranted fans throwing things onto the field. Personally, I never was a big fan of that at any type of sporting event. Even LSU fans doing this are POS.

Any way, best of luck to you all and try to pull some talent out of the NOLA area.

You all still playing games at Strawberry Stadium? Would like to see you all play on a regulation field. Even, Chunk Nasty displayed mad skills on a narrow field.

Once Chunks put on the headband, you had better watch out.

I played for Sam Houston from 1997-2000. LSU was in the TRU Div I with the other Texas schools and LSU was always the best team, and hardest hitting. Good luck!

This puts the Tigers in the sweet 16 as a #3 seed. They will face Utah in 2 weeks in Berkley CA.

I watched the Utah/BYU match last night on ESPNU. BYU was much larger and faster than Utah and beat them soundly. Just starting to learn some of the nuances of the sport. In the first match I watched between Cal and British Columbia I couldn't understand the strategy being employed, now its starting to make some sense.

Glad you were able to follow the game better. I didn't get a chance to watch the Utah/BYU game yet because I had practice last night. While LSU is nowhere near BYU's level, I hope they have enough to beat Utah.

If you want to catch another game, ESPNU will have the ARMY/NAVY game on Tuesday, April 14th, 8pm.

dude - it was definitely the 2nd XV and lower... the first XV had a cup match against University of Texas in Baton Rouge...

aren't you a little old to play college rugby?... get west to baton rouge or south to new orleans and train with a men's side

Rugby players are all super sensitive about their sport. I get it... you have to be "tough". When I was playing lacrosse at LSU I thought the rugby team was annoying as hell. Mostly with all the we're crazy rugby players so we can be loud and obnoxious. Congrats on the wins though.. that's really cool.

as a former rugby player, I can state without a doubt rugby players can be extremely obnoxious...

and as a mob, they can be as obnoxious as any group I know... but not much more so than many a men's softball team

in regard to 'sensitivity,' we're not that sensitive

in regard to the 2009 western RFU collegiate champion LSU RFC, we're simply happy for them and wish them the best... whether lacrosse, club soccer or ultimate frisbee, you don't get many chance at championships.

in regard to SLU, they historically have had very solid rugby clubs and have hosted a mardi gras tournament that was well known years ago throughout the united states.

Rooad, having played some rugby for LSU it think you're comment is dickless.

Tough sport played by tough people, almost no finacical backing from LSU.

So pack sand dickhead

+1

I bet some people would say women's rugby isn't worth anything either. Fact is, the women would and could beat the hell out of them.

Haha your team is in Div III with our B side, and you'll didn't even show up. We did not play you this year, or in the past three years with our A side.

Directed to SLU guy.
