Sweet reference. Another year we probably won’t make the post season.
I look soooo bad being furious we got skull fricked by state. Some of us have expectations.

There’s no way that you said Brian Kelly inherited a worse situation than McMahon… there’s no way you actually believe that

They both inherited shite situations. Only thing is Brian Kelly turned lsu around immediately because he’s an elite coach, unlike McMahon.

I won’t call any coach elite until he wins a championship, but that’s just me.
You said that BK inherited a worse situation which is just an incredibly dumb thing to say.

1. MSU was excellent defensively. Give them credit.
2. Ward getting hurt certainly didn’t help. But LSU wasn’t winning that game with him.
3. The energy level was bad. But the HC had to know that was a concern coming into the game.
Which leads to one of my biggest complaints about McMahon. He doesn’t seem to have great “feel” for the game. For the second straight game he put in a line up at the end of the 1sr half that had no real scoring. And just like vs Kentucky it allowed the opponent to separate right before the half.
Then, he never tried to do anything to change the pace of the game. LSU was content to let MSU grind them out defensively in the half court all night and play at MSU’s pace. Why not extend your defense to try to speed up MSU? Change the tempo to try to generate more possessions. You’re at home and the better shooting team. You WANT to create more shots. If they beat you they beat you. But you HAVE to try to change the pace of the game if it’s not in your favor.
I’m not talking about an all out full court press. But throw in a 1-3-1 press. Put more ball pressure in the backcourt. ANYTHING to speed them up. I can’t remember a single time in his entire LSU tenure where he’s extended his defense. No, that may not be your preferred plan of attack. But sometimes you have to create your own juice.

quote:most were laughing their asses off at you making excuses like you did gargling Os balls all these years. the hypocrisy of you shitting all over kelly and johnson but making excuses for mcmahon is fricking hilarious. laughing at you isn't wishing lsu to lose.
u clearly weren't in the game thread. There were some giddy mofos in there that LSU lost, so they could gargle Will Wade just one more time

You were suspiciously absent from the board when we beat Kentucky this week. Where were you?

We just weren’t gonna have anywhere to get points from against their zone with Ward and Cook both out. Baker isn’t quick release & Wright isn’t good enough to be literally the only threat on the floor.
Mwani was a last ditch Hail Mary & you see why he doesn’t get many minutes. Williams has shown flashes but not consistently enough to carry the team on a night like tonight.

Because there’s a 30 game sample size that MSU can’t really play in the half court either lol. You are really blaming the coach for them having their best game in the Jans era from three and at the line? frick man Hubbard is a player and balled shite happen

What’s funny is that I was snowboarding last Saturday during the South Carolina game, because I have an actual life
Last week was nice and I’m happy lsu won. That doesn’t excuse what just happened tonight or the rest of the season for that matter. Losing to Nicholls, Jesus H

If we can't blame McMahon for this loss, can we blame him for the other 12?
