Terrible hire.....what a joke

Personally I'm excited about hiring a guy who got demoted from DC at Bama after a season that included a loss at home to ULM

Hahaha. LSU is gonna make a run for a championship now!
LSU is now magically going to field a better defense than the Chavis defense, develop one or both quarterbacks to be serviceable, and win close games by not making coaching or time management mistakes!
It's all lining up now boys!

Not the exciting hire you expect after a 2 week search with all the big names being tossed about. This does seem like a desperate hire. Supposedly all these coordinators were interested and we hired someone who really isn't very accomplished in coaching. And we don't hire Brick so either there is a major rift in the program or Haley told Miles he's leaving. This smells like Tupper 2. I just hope we don't wait until we are 0-8 in conference play before the real, much needed change is made.

I'm bumping the shite out of this thread when our defense is top 5 next year.

This hire makes no sense. He's not a big name, comes in with a bad track record, and fans expecting him to fail. He has zero wiggle room for messing up. He has to be perfect.

My first reaction, hiring a positional coach for a big-time college program coordinator position, that seems rather underwhelming. But I thought, well he did come from Bama, and they have had some beastly LBs. And then I looked at his resume, he was the fricking DC who allowed GENO, Tavon &company to put up 70 points!!!
I hope he can be solid for us, but based on his past, he gives me no reason to believe in him. Great freaking hire

Desperation! When no good coach wants to work with a shitty offense. The end is near.

Thankfully this will get him fired in two years

Only under Miles can we be rumored to have Pendergast and Coach O 90% done to signing fricking Kevin Steele

My feelings exactly. Just when everyone was beginning to believe that Miles was getting serious about getting this program turned around and back to where it could be, he actually makes the move that would be expected of Les Miles. LSU will be a "rent a win" soon. Miles is done. What little respect he had left is gone. This is Miles through and through.
