High. He was so poised last year - unflappable. Both of the freshmen seemed very poised at QB last year. Max also has very good touch and good accuracy. I heard a lot of fans criticize his accuracy, but all those YACs that Boutte had came because the ball was very well thrown. His arm strength was only fair, but that will come as he gets bigger, and he already looks bigger this year.

Kid appears to have a little moxie about him that Myles was still missing

Dec is our most experienced O-Lineman. He and Ed. Why would you be worried about that.
I’d be more worried if he was right handed and Cam Wire had to protect it

Ya, Max definitely won that game. He commanded the offense and drove down the field at the end of the game and scored unlike Brennan against Missouri.
He needed a shoe throw and the leg of a god to win that game.
People need to go back and watch some games from last year, not just highlights. Max looked like a freshman. People building Max up to be the 2nd coming are probably going to be disappointed. He will probably struggle early, especially because of our bad o-line play.
Not to say he can’t improve because I’m sure he will, but he is still young and probably won’t meet half the people’s expectations that they have built up in their head.

It is Throws like this that make me confident in him.
Drops it in the bucket across the field.

6 of 10. He played two bad defenses. Similar to TJ after south Carolina game. In fact tj looked better until he played a good defense. But now max had an offseason and is in his 2nd year so I have faith can be really good.

Tough to say UF was a bad defense when they were in playoff contention up until we played them.
UM was bad, however.

OL full of "experienced" 5 + year players that have historically been average, at best, performers. Time to find out if a new OL coach and "maturity" makes any difference.

Florida was only a head of ole miss and vandy in defense. They were historically horrible for Florida last year.

Very high after seeing how he played last year in some tough situations.

Today will be a good measuring. UCLA will throw the kitchen sink in the form of disparate pressures at the O-line and they won’t be able to pick them all up. If he’s quick to the hot reads tonight IMO he will be a terror for opponents this year. They will need screens against this kind of defense. Hopefully they can execute. If they do, there is going to be big yardage available.

He is a Hiesman candidate for sure

Put it this way:
We had to give Burrow the nickname ”Big Dick”. Max’s mom named him “Big Dick”.

Because Deculus is better suited athletically to play guard than tackle. He’s a throwback to the Miles days when we refused to recruit tackles and just moved our quickest guards outside and crossed our fingers.

If he generally improves like:
-A kid that started a few games as a freshman should
-a kid who dedicated his offseason to building camaraderie with his WRs should
-a kid who has a in-house QB coach & a D1 TE living with him should.
That should lead to being able to attack defenses at all levels in the passing game. That is, if WR’s can get open. Like in 2018, the most talented WRs probably aren’t quite ready to play. And the older guys have no proven to be dudes yet

Not a whole lot, and I say that more about the QB position than about him. With the staff turnover and having seen very little from the RBs/WRs/TEs, how can you be optimistic? I see tremendous upside in Max, tremendous. But there's a lot more to having solid production at the QB position than just him.
