and I hope he calls more of our games. Dude knows his stats and the game. Doesn't bs about things that have nothing to do with football and seemed to have taken the time to know all the players and their history.

Is it that much to ask for more of that and less ERin Andrews types on the sidelines???

Yeah, she's good to look at, but shite, he made the game about 5X more interesting. At least let him talk and just show pics of hot sluts.

Who was with him? Dude said JJ was a 5th year senior in the postgame analysis.

That was Fowler with him. Yes he was wrong saying JJ was a 5th year senior but JJ and JL have always been viewed as on the same track together s I could see where the mistake could be made. If thats the biggest eff up they make, I can live with it.

He's always been great. Him and Danielson are the best there is.

That's why CBS has been so good for so long at doing games. Hate away.

i heard andrews on a national sports talk show a few months ago somewhere on XM .. that bitch knows nothing about sports off the top of her head ... she looks OK and describes what is in front of her and that's it ... at least jen brown and heather cox have college athletics on their resumes .. andrews was a fricking dancer ..

Hence why she discusses simple things like, "how did your exam go Friday?"

Seriously, just show nudie pics during the time outs and let the analysts talk.

I disagreed with his comment concerning the s.e.c. and defense. He said something to the effect that you have to have big plays on offense and you can't win with sustained drives.

I was at the game and haven't had a chance to watch the telecast, but if he said that, I agree with you.

LSU had important scoring drives in almost every victory where we gained all yardage on the ground.

I actually agree with what Todd said there. I think the longer the drive the more the advantage shifts to the defense in creating a turnover. He made that statement when pointing out how few big plays(20+ yds) LSU had on offense. I think he's one of the best out there along with Danielson, which someone already mentioned.

Context.
He was critiquing LSU's run/pass ratio of last season. He's right. SEC defenses are too good to plow over with running like we did in the Texas A.M. game.
Gotta have a middle/deep passing threat to keep defenses honest.

Am I the only one that doesn't like Danielson? Have never really been a big fan. Certainly not the worst out there, but definitely not in my top 5 or anything

They did have a hiccup saying Hatcher was injured who is supposed to take over at MLB for K Shep but that might have been Fowler, I cant remember.

One thing is he didn't continue to call JJ a 5th yr Sr. Fowler was still doing that crap even after the game. And Fowler also did that kinda stuff last year. Seems as though if you're gonna call a game, especially with advanced notice, than you might wanna know something about the players. After all, it was a spring game. ONE TEAM!!!!

Danielson is horrible. He rarely has an original thought or good insight, and don't let it be a Bama game and listen to him kiss Sabans arse all game. I think the guy just likes to listen to himself talk most of the time.

I always like listening to Bob Davie call games..

He and Fowler are great. I would love to see them as the announcers for our games on ESPN.
