Ha...what does where someone graduated from have anything to do with this?
Just so you know, I hold a degree from UA...but I would love to hear more about these 'real bama grads' you know. Do they drive cars and eat in restaurants? Please tell me everything and don't leave anything out.

truth
Well maybe you could start by posting objective fact. Your DBs got torched the only two times they were tested by good passing attacks.
Am I saying LSU will do anything even close to that? No.
But minimizing the weak point on your defense as if it is a "myth" is just nonsense.
Also, you're talking JH up as if he's a titan of poise when his poise has never objectively been tested.
You're not bringing "truth" to the discussion. You're bringing your opinion to the discussion.

There was no fear of the passing game with BH....the start of the second half validated that belief when BH threw a pass right to a gump defender while rolling out and very little pressure. Game over.
Thankfully, we have someone now that doesn't panic.

Here's the deal and this isn't a myth, Bama has been able to dominate the OL bc they know where the run starts and ends so the clog the middle with their line. We were playing mostly from the I formation and not ever using our TEs so the Linebackers won't be able to tee off on the middle and edges they will have to respect the fact that our TEs and WRs can get behind them. One hole created or one cut back can now go for 5 or more yards with that being said. Another fact is that we never utilized the middle of the field or short passing game against bama hardly ever. This game will be different and coach O knows their offensive tendencies and most of all I think what makes a big difference especially in this game is Jenkins, he's a long time pro and knows what bama is trying to do defensively and will help the offense game plan for it. Whether we are effective or not remains to be see but I believe we stand the best chance in this game bc of these factors. We'll see... It's going to be a good game.

A real grad from Alabama would be working, and not getting her rocks off by trolling an LSU message board. This thread right here is exactly why bama fans get the label they do. Again, I work with several bama graduates, and to a man they all agree this is their toughest game of the year.

Hey, thanks for clearing that up. I can get on with my life again.

I thought my first sentence cleared that up.
Maybe those Bama grads can teach you how to infer.

The truth is that this game will be won in the trenches, just like all the LSU/Bama games over the past 15 years.

But you boutta get downvotes.
That's okay. I don't measure my self-worth by upvotes on TR.
It's a refreshing change of pace to hear a logical opinion expressed by a gump. Not saying you're correct, but it's a rare thing seen on here.
In case you're wondering about the "actual UA graduates" thing, see below:
Dumbest Fan Base
I'm assuming you are in the 10-15% that has actually been admitted to the school. Have a nice day, sir.

how Bama has been on the bad end of penalties more than LSU, I know this to be an untruth. However, I also know my audience and won't throw pearls to swine
Again, thank you. Let's see, there are lies, damn lies and statistics regarding penalties against Alabama's opponents (and vice versa).

Maybe you can go the frick away. If any LSU fans want to listen to a gump tell us that we are going to lose, we can go to tSECR for all that shite. You didn't come here to "discuss" anything, you came here to defend your position that Alabama will win. Now STFU junior and go back to class.

bama fan on tiger rant but lsu fans can't go on alabama's board....?
They are a nation of misplaced sensibilities and an overweening sense of entitlement. Here's to some fresh crow being served by LSU Saturday night.

1. Why are you posting on the Tiger Rant? Do you not have anything better to do with your life?
2. The toughest environment Hurts has played in was @ Ole Miss... which was a day game, and he accounted for 0 touchdowns for Alabama and 1 touchdown for Ole Miss.
3. Your corners suck arse. You gave up 400 passing yards to Chad Kelly and Austin Allen
4. Your safeties were closer to the line vs LSU last year than they were vs any other team. They might not start in the box, but as soon as the ball is snapped they take 2-3 steps up into the box. Go watch the game and you'll see this 85% of the game.

Do you people have to be obnoxious to everyone who happens to have that "A" in their title? This guy is giving a very clear opinion, and he's not using profanity or any trash talk. I hate the gump-nation as much as any self-respecting Tiger fan, but I'm willing to listen to those very few (<4%) that actually graduated from there and are able to form coherent thoughts.
Well done, Eli Goldfinger. I hope you are incorrect in some of your opinions. Either way, here's hoping for a great game, and hopefully a Tiger victory!

Agreed.
Even if Bama 'stacks the box' Saban doesn't like to do it pre-snap, which is technically not loading the box anyway.
One of the items his defenses are predicated on is deceiving you in the form of not knowing how many to bring to the point of attack. With a traditional loading of the box you know that somewhat. Why give that away if you have the athletes to basically do the same thing just after snap. Again, even if he wants to do it at all.
So, IF he wants to do his version of loading the box, at the snap a S will go to a spot in the box before even diagnosing (that's his job that play). That's why you hear him preach follow your assignments. When they do such things if one player does his job but another decides he knows better, you're likely to find 2 people not in position to make a play.

Well Alabama has always been built defensively to stop the run. That has worked well against past LSU teams. This one may be a little different. But I think you were lucky to beat. Arkansas. This is not your best team ever. I think a key will be your ability to score non-offensive touchdowns. You have been amazing in that ability this year.
