He has 5 errors and an .886 FLDPCT compared to Thompson’s .894.
Small sample size. He was an upgrade towards the end of the season. Even stroked it against Vanderbilt.

He just wants to play.

LSU had terrible infield defense from day 1 and he still only saw 60 plate appearances. If Johnson loved him he didn’t show it with playing time. From his first ABs was never really an lsu caliber player.

The second of the Bayon Rouge boys to hit the portal. I'm going to miss them.

Our defense got much better when Berry and Doughty were hurt but let's be honest it's not worth taking their bats out for Cranford

Exactly. And he made several plays that would have been scored hits had he not made them. Can’t remember the game but he snagged one over 3rd base that saved at least 2 runs. Was a Bregman type play where you are just like damn afterwards.

I still never know what his name is. Cranford Crawford. Collier Crawford. Collier Cranier. Crawfish Cranberry.
His name exists in an odd black hole in my brain.

Haha same here. And it doesn’t help when we had player names like Samford to confuse even more

Wasn’t Cranford the one who tripled against Ole Miss on Sunday at the box.
Then proceeded to vomit on 3rd lol

Derek Helenihi for LSU. A serviceable but not great bat but a great fielder and a key piece on a great team.
Was like 1-21 in the ‘09 CWS, but made some insane plays a 3rd. Defensively, was huge in winning that championship.
He was big at the plate in the Super Regional. Had a big homerun that help us get to the CWS.
Kinda saw Cranford as maybe developing into something like that as well.
