probably no one the day we hired him BUT a lot of people have taken notice and he probably could get hired away now. things change compadre.

he's a top 10-15 coach and after this year it should be higher. we'll see.

he has certainly outperformed the expectations of most on this board.

How many points has he scored vs Bama? How many times has he beaten Bama? How many times has he won the west? I think he's making plenty, d lines and o line are still in bad shape, gotta earn the $$ on the field

How many times you are going to rehash the same chitte without mentioning the positives? 10-3, finally a 5th sr QB to rally around, depth at DL suspect but starters are excellent, incredible athleticism at WR, DBU continues on and the best FR class of RBs in nation. You and the other dude go back to watching the 'toons, playing Candy Crush etc. and let the adults discuss. You need a bib?

We are paying him roughly 1.2 mill per average point scored against Bama

How much are you being paid to post negative posts? You put a penny in your jar every Sunday night?

I think coach O is the man for the job. He is making positive changes and I think we will see results from his efforts this year and the next few years. His pay seems about right for now. Winning will lead to more pay.

What idiot who wrote this article thinks Ed’s beaten five top 5 teams?

That would be one top 5 team. Georgia 2018.

Canwoodtiger I believe you are correct.
I have met some "fans" like that. Most have been to very few LSU games. They also don't know of what they speak. They follow the herd mentality.

plus isn't the whole point of his value is that he can hire more expensive coordinators? especially considering he doesn't really lock down one side of the ball like most HC's who are typically very seasoned coordinators.

how about paid right on par? i don't see him as underpaid whatsoever. especially given his experience and time in the program. LSU still hasn't made the next step.. he has to do that this season. no excuses.

Yes, the entire selling point on O was that he came cheap and LSU could therefore have the best possible coordinators controlling each side of the ball with him acting as a CEO and recruiting. Then he hired Ensminger as his OC.

Is this argument still a thing? I understand it when he was 1st hired but as of today he’s proven he can lead 2 major programs, at this point yea he can get a job for 3 mil. Matt Luke and the coach from NCST get that and neither as accomplish as much as O has

What a bunch of complete idiots we have as fans... seriously.

This argument fell on its face after LSU finished 6th in the country last year. IDIOT.

We finished #6 in the nation this past season. We won a NY6 bowl versus an undefeated team. O did fine his second season. Anytime we finish with a NY6 bowl win and a top 10 ranking, we have overachieved our historical position in cfb.

Now we'll see how the team does in Year Three.

If that was his record and he DID NOT UNDERACHIEVE ie TROY, MSU, TAMU (Jimbo wins in first meeting), 0-2 versus Mullins, etc. should I continue?

YEAH, please continue....

LSU won the game at AM. Don't fool yourself. And the fact that O is doing at substantial discount is the point of the article. We also finished ahead of AM in the final polls.
