7. Jarrett Lee might be the First Team All-SEC quarterback
Tyler Wilson of Arkansas leads the SEC in passing, and Georgia’s Aaron Murray might be the league’s best quarterback, but it’s Lee who’s shockingly leading the conference in passing efficiency. 12th in the nation, completing 63% of his passes with 13 touchdowns and just one interception, he’s been one of the season’s biggest surprises. For a team that doesn’t need a quarterback to bomb away, and only needs a smart game-manager who can keep the chains moving and keep the mistake to a minimum, he’s been perfect.
No one could’ve ever seen this coming.
Mostly known for throwing 14 interceptions in 2008, and pick six after pick six, he’s been almost flawless so far outside of the lone interception thrown against Mississippi State. Since hitting on just 8-of-21 passes against Kentucky, over the last three games he’s completed 34-of-47 passes (72%) with six touchdowns and no picks. Jordan Jefferson is in the mix now to add more mobility to the equation, but if Lee can come up with a big game and the win over Alabama, he could be tough to ignore in the final All-SEC ballots.

Despite his slightly small size for a QB, lee has developed into an excellent QB.
He made two bad throws against Auburn the whole game, and he can read the defense better than most in CFB.
I think if this year continues as expected, Lee may have passed his way into pro consideration.
He has consistently passed well against the nation's best cover corners and schemes.
He even stays loose on his feet in the pocket, and can step up and deliver, he even learned to throw it away

Kragthorpe has done wonders with Lee and JJ. Imagine what we could have been last year and imagine what next year will be like with mett at QB and us defending the BCSNC with a top 10 Defense.

Lee won the Bama and FLA games last year. JJ was pathetic in terms of QB ability and game management. We need a QB that can get the ball to receivers - JJ failed there. We have RB's that can run the ball - we don't need a QB taking carries away from a talented RB stable.

The guy had a rough Freshman year but put up points for us. The coaches should have let him continue to be the QB. Look at Matthew Stafford...

I love it when people say this.
I think it's important for people to give Lee his due and at the same time acknowledge the tremendous job Kragthorpe has done. I don't think it's a zero sum game of compliment here. Krags had helped Lee become a better QB... and from the few times JJ has thrown the ball, he looks much improved as well.

Dude, JJ avgs 2 throws a game.
In all hoensty, how can any person make any assumpiton with such little action to go by?
IMO JL doesnt look any better than last yr.
Its just he didnt get to play that much then.
JL said himself that the biggest help SK has been is he taught him how to properly study game film.

Sad that Crowton was getting $500k plus a year and had so many weaknesses as a coach.
