Miami starts out as Puerto Rico, too many Florida schools to properly divvy up the state.

The progression video/gif at the end of the season is actually pretty damn awesome.

Shouldn't Miami have started out as Cuba?

I assumed by now, everyone knew how the map works.

It is just a thought experiment.

Here is brief explanation:
"Each FBS team is given a territory to begin the season, and if they lose, the team that beats them takes their land. Teams are then always in the process of trying to either regain land or expand their land by beating teams that have land.

The territories for each team are determined by which school is closest in straight-line distance to the geometric center of each county."

How did FAU control the Miami area over The U? Does the Week 0 map carry over from the previous year?

Miami had Puerto Rico - too many schools in South Florida.

They are still running last year's map, but LSU has no land......

The largest of these is that Miami isn’t closest to any county. To remedy this, Puerto Rico has been added and given to Miami as a starting territory.

Until next week, then not again until November.

Can we talk about the rampant wife-beatings that occur in this America? Just a wild-west of wife beaters.
