Do you have an argument against using the K zone

Yes, I don't think it's 100% accurate either, specifically at the top and the bottom of the strike zone, the box can outlined the corners of the plate those are constant, but the top and bottom of the zone is not, it relies on posture, stance, etc. And also how do we know even how accurately it represents what it is portrayed to? Do we just blindly trust that because the monitor shows the ball hit's an imaginary line (not a real line like on a tennis court) that it's unimpeachable?

Baseball is already the perfect sport,
it's a sport where almost nothing happens. It's far too slow with too little action. 95% of the time, it's a guy standing in the same spot, throwing a ball to a guy crouched in the same spot, and the ball isn't put into play. Rinse and repeat.

The live bats from 10 years ago spiced things up a bit and made the game watchable, but now with dead bats, the game is back to being a 3 hour slog.

No hitting a homerun without barely having to make solid contact was not exciting. It was ruining the game. Dudes that were terrible hitters were dropping bombs at alarming rates

Typically if the strike zone is one way for one team it’s the same for the other. Of course there are outliers but that’s normally how it goes.

Pretty much any college sport outside of football and basketball are. Much more pure without the major outside influences like those two

Cross-country and distance events. Almost no officials and first one across wins.

You can argue that these aluminum bats today aren't much better than wooden bats.

Baseball largely loses money across the country, and wooden bats break significantly easier which would add yet another cost. Aluminum bats are more upfront but potentially cut down on the overall bill.

Add in proper use of replay and it’s as pure as it gets.

College basketball has become so polluted it's not fun anymore. Baseball is far more interesting to me.

I'll watch the last 2 minutes of an LSU basketball game but watch the entire baseball games

Pedo starting pitcher for national champion doesn’t seem so pure
The actions of a player off the field aren't relevant...

purity of a competitive sport isn't dependent on the player being virtuous or villainous, it's on the actual competitive skills employed. Said pitcher still had to throw strikes and get batters out, and he did. Oregon State didn't win because they were the heel of a wrestling match. He wasn't an All American because he was wholesome, he was because he had nasty stuff.

But, yeah, a good point is made about umpires. You can have guys who squeeze the strikezone and make it impossible to get strikeouts, you can have guys who force batters to swing at pitches almost a foot off the plate.

How about when Vanderbilt had Tennessee beat and the Tennessee player lofts himself 6 feet in the air backwards soccer-style flop...And they still called it a flagrant foul after they reviewed it in slow motion...4 points right there... LMFAO and today refs still can't see when somebody gets fouled so if they're unsure they wait to see if he misses a shot or not. That's why you get the late whistles.

Whenever there is money there is corruption. The more money the more corruption... It's basically how Vegas operates
