Balls and strikes are so subjective no ump has the same strike zone and every game can be affected by that, so much so folks want K-Zone to call games and are demanding that all the time.

Baseball is full of drug users just like the nfl.the skills of the players is amazing, but the game is boring as hell. That said, I think it’s the most difficult team sport of all to play.

Golf is the most difficult sport there is. But it’s too boring for most people.

Sure there is. You're just a fan of that team, so you don't recognize it.

Man, no one is cheating to get any teams to the top. Until about four years ago LSU was the main competition that could prevent Bama from getting to the top, and they were curb stomping us. They did not need any help.

Fail....it's only bias if it goes against your bias opinion.

College baseball
sucks.

Not like 30 years ago. I grew up going to June Raines' Gamecocks teams games and loved college baseball then.

When I went to LSU, guys like Skip Bertman ruined it with smoking in the dugout during games. Cemented it as nothing more than a redneck trash activity.

This man says the truth. Scholarship limits. why are like that in baseball?

Gives northern teams a chance to compete. Big Ten commissioners campaigned for limited scholarships and got it.

I totally agree and selfishly hope it doesn’t get too popular so it doesn’t get ruined by the wolves.

Pedo starting pitcher for national champion doesn’t seem so pure.

Pedo boy playing has nothing to do with the game itself. However, I disagree with the OP. Baseball umpires make judgment calls on every single pitch. There is plenty subjectivity in the game of baseball. I do think it's probably purer than basketball or football, but any time you interject a third-party to make judgment calls, you're not going to have a pure sport. The only mostly pure sports are those like T&F, golf, and tennis where refs aren't able to have much of an impact on a game.

Do you have an argument against using the K zone? I can't think of many arguments against it unless you feel that balls being called strikes and vice versa are just part of the game. But if we have technology available that can call balls and strikes objectively and correctly every time, not using it seems ignorant.

I think adapting to the umpires strike zone is an integral part of the game. Adapting is a testament of skill. Greg Maddux made a career of manipulating the strike zone and I don’t want to see that art go away

This is the problem, though, that is only part of the game because umpires aren't consistent like they're supposed to be. Why can't the strike zone just be what it's intended to be instead of changing by who's calling the game. Not to mention, umpires struggle with having a consistent throughout the same game, much less game to game.

Not when an umpire's strike zone isn't consistent.

AAU is dirty as frick. Players literally get shopped around.
And the one-and-done rule has basically created this situation.
From that perspective, men's BB is probably the most corrupt college sport of all.

Baseball with replay is the purest game. College or pro, doesn't matter.
