I listen to Colin but he is way West Coast Bias and if he is giving LSU props it's because he doesn't have enough Bama or USC callers. He's from the Pacific Northwest BTW and lives in Conn. He LOVES to play devil's advocate, cause controversy and get people to call into his show all fired up.

I think he is a douche but I listen to him because he makes sense more than other talking heads, like Jim Rome.

I'm starting to think Rich Rod is just keeping Miles seat warm. Can't blame him with the poor treatment he's gotten from many LSU fans.

His show isn't as good as Dan Patrick, but it's not too bad. Colin repeats himself alot, isn't good with callers (Mad Dog is the best with callers btw), and has extremely too many breaks (like all ESPN shows). Plusses for him is that he is exciting, he talks movies and other guys stuff occasionally, and he's a big college football fan.
Dan Patrick on the other hand conducts interviews better than anyone I've ever heard, andasks great follow up questions. He and his staff are very entertaining, and they book great guest. A negative for DP would be....ummm, I really can't think of any.
I love how he gives the behind the scenes stories of ESPN, like who's a jerk and who he never got along with.
Anyone agree?

My prob with Bill King is I dont want to hear the head coach of miami of ohio's 10 minute interview.
However, I do like his little "skit" at the top of each hour with "We're nationwide" playing in the background

his show is entertaining. but next week he will probably be saying that Les is winning with saban's players.

i do enjoy his show, whether i agree with him or yelling at him for being such an idiot.

Les Miles hasn't been treated poorly. I hear he's been getting a warm reception on the speaking tour thus far. You're just a little overly sensitive.

Les Miles makes almost 4 million dollars/year to coach football. He'll be just fine.

Cowherd loves to tell you every day about how he was right about something and how you were wrong about it. Yes, he knows what you think and there's no arguing against it.

Still not a huge fan of Cowherd. He's too ADD cant finish one thought before beginning another. And he is often clearly biased (USC). That said, its nice to see LM getting some props, regardless of where its from.

While I also have heard him say himself he is a USC homer, a couple of years ago--BEFORE LSU's last BCS championship--he was calling LSU the program of the decade, ahead of even the Trojans.

But, I love the fact that 90% of these rantards were on here a year ago arguing that CC is a retard and not worthy of the air he breathes. Now that he's said something good about LM, people will instantly become fans.

+1

I always liked him because he talks pro football.

Cowherd is the man.
He is an annoying sensationalist; in other words, a sports "journalist." He says whatever he thinks will get people to listen, and he (like most media) is convinced that the best way to get people to tune in is to piss them off.

Sadly, I have given his show "a shot", and I cannot share your endorsement.

He calls it like he sees it
He contradicts himself regularly.

offers great perspective
He is a contrarian, or at least tries to be.

he's right more often than not
He appears to be right only by blind luck; when the majority of sports media is wrong about something, his typically contrarian response is often the correct one. Fortunately for him, the majority of sports media is wrong most of the time.

scott van pelt is the man, my favorite espn personality. some friends of mine saw him at the lsu/auburn game in 06 and talked to him for a while. they said he was awesome. i think his wife or girlfriend at the time went to auburn or something.
